chapter 5

As Diamond was being dragged away, she still tried desperately to escape. She knew it would be hopeless. They kept on dragging her until they got to a huge building with a big metal door, witch they dragged her inside of. When they were done putting her inside, the door shut. When they were inside, a door to one of the things with the wheels opened. And out stepped a monkey-like creature. "Why did you take me?" Diamond growled.

Surprisingly, the monkey creature actually seemed to understand her. "Ha. she's a smart one guys. I want her hooked up to the machine as soon as possible." the monkey creature said, ignoring her question. This made Diamond very angry. If he did not answer her, she would freeze him to a block of ice. "Why did you take me?" she asked again. He still did not answer. She inhaled deeply, but before she could shoot ice, they clamped something over her snout, and dragged her away again, into another gigantic room. When they did, they took giant metal bands and put them on her ankles. Then they secured her tail, and put metal things on her wings. The creature from before said "okay, now I want to find out how she interacts with others of her kind." again they dragged her through the halls of the building until they came to a room 10 times the other room's size. There was nothing inside, but on the side of the wall there was a window. After they came to a stop, they once again closed a big metal door. On the other side of the room however, another door opened, and a violet dragon with feather wings got dragged in. the violet dragon's eyes went wide when she saw Diamond. Diamond was equally surprised to see her there. It made her think... what do the creatures want with us? I will probably need to talk to her to find out. the creatures took the snout band off of Diamond and the other dragon. As soon as they did, Diamonds million questions came pouring out. "Who are you?" She said. The violet dragon opened and closed her mouth as if to get it working again. "My name is Violet." said the dragon in a hoarse voice. "And who are you?" she asked diamond. "My name is Diamond, princess of the Zifourian Empire." Violet looked at her for a long moment. "The princess of the Zifourian Empire? Why are you past the sky wall if you're a princess?" "it's a long story. Not one I have time to tell. But right now I need to tell you something." she took violet into a corner, and started muttering in her ear. "We must get out of here, but I need your help. I need you to tell me everything you know about this place. Like what are they doing? what do they want with us? Do they have stuff fireproof?"

Violet thought for a moment. "They have been doing research on me for a few months now. Trying to find out how my fire works, trying to find out where I came from. But they have gotten nowhere. They have not guessed we live in what they call the Arora Borealis." "Okay," said Diamond. "We need to get out now while they are doing tests on our behavior. I will freeze the door, and we can breakthrough." Diamond stepped over to the door, but before she could do anything, the creatures came to try and restrain her. She tripped two with her tail, while she picked up two more in her claws. More of them came to stop her. some had blowguns that they fired at her that shot weird wire spider web things that they tried to use to trap her. feeble creatures. they think they can restrain me? there may be tons of them and one of me, but i am bigger and stronger. Diamond quickly threw the wire webs off her. she then took the web and traped all the little creatures in it. then froze her metal bands and broke them off. Froze the door, and broke through it. She was quickly followed by Violet. when she was shure nun of them were left to stop her, Diamond lifted her head and shot ice at the ceiling. she broke through it, and she and Violet flew up into the sky. When they were a few miles away, they found Crimson. "Where did you go? And who is that? and-" "long story." Diamond cut her off. "No time. They could come after us. We need to find a place to hide."
