Edeline ran home, shutting the door behind her, letting out a relieved breath. She went upstairs to set up the futons in her room. After she laid them down, she flopped down on her own bed, sighing. The events of the day had taken a toll on her, leaving a hollow feeling in her chest. She laid there, letting the softness of the bed comfort her. She soon heard the voices of the team downstairs, so she pushed herself up to go meet them.

She softly treaded down the stairs, seeing the team in the kitchen. Fukunaga was the first to notice her. He gave a small wave in acknowledgment, and she returned it.

"Hey Edeline, you ok?" Kai asked softly. She just nodded.

"Yeah Im fine, I just need time to heal I guess. It was  shock to me that he got over it so quickly..."

Kuroo nodded in understanding, lips pressed into a thin line.

"He probably isn't ready for a relationship, in my eyes, hes still a child."

Edeline just nodded, knowing he was right. She leaned on the counter, the comfortable silence tangible. She sighed, running a hand through her hair.

"I still dont understand why he would date the person who caused me the most pain, like does he not have respect for me anymore?" She asked shakily, hot tears threatening to surface.

"I think he still loves you, hes just confused right now, you know?" Kenma softly whispered, putting away his PSP.

Edeline felt hot tears drip down her face onto the cold marble. She made no sounds, wiping her face.

"Ok this is killing the mood, lets go upstairs and enjoy ourselves, ok?" She said, smiling weakly. Again, her strength surprised the team, but they followed her upstairs nonetheless. They all claimed a futon and sat down on it. Edeline just plopped onto her bed, hugging a pillow. She stared at them, not speaking a word.

"So what do you guys want to do? I dont want this to be a pity party." She grumbled.

"Lets play truth or truth!" Inuoka exclaimed.

"Alright"

"Fine by me"

"You got milk?"

They sat in a circle, eating their snacks. They asked each other questions, and they answered. They kept going at this until they hit a pretty sensitive topic.

"Edeline Truth or Truth?" Yamamoto asked.

"Truth"

"Why do you act so tough all the time? Like I really admire your strength, but you hide your emotions really well."

She stiffened up, sucking in air. She closed her eyes and laid onto her bed.

"Because I've learned that people take advantage of those emotions, and it hurts you even more. I let my feelings, just not in front of you guys."

"Ah"

"Yeah"

"But who hurt you?"

"Lev"

"..."

"..."

"You want us to beat his ass again?"

"No, im just going to avoid him, you know give him a cold shoulder. He needs to learn you cant treat people like this. It takes a toll on them, like right now. He doesn't deserve a relationship right now, especially with Anaya. This is what she wanted, and he gave it to her."

The group silently talked to each other until they fell asleep, one by one, until Edeline was the only one left. She put on her headphones, closing her eyes.

Somewhere in Ann Arbor there's a broken traffic light
Blinking softly for an audience of one
A boy who takes his comfort in the shelter of the night
And stays up until the morning just because
Somewhere in Ann Arbor there's an empty parking lot
Where he likes to go and look up at the moon
Ask himself where things went wrong and why he feels so caught
And hopes that things start changing someday soon

Oh, he's got it all
He's got the life that they all said that he would want
And oh, he's got it good
So why the hell can't he start feeling like he should

To have felt too much is to end in feeling nothing
