POV Finn

I hear Ava's distress before the scream. I get out of the house and try to locate the sound but everyone is talking at the same time and I can't concentrate.

Where the fuck is she?

I see one of our neighbour looking at me with sad eyes and my anger grew. He must know where she is and I don't care if it's an elderly man and he is 700 centuries old, I will end him if he doesn't tell me where is Ava.

"What is happening?", I ask.

"The Queen accused her of treason, she's bringing her near the portal."

"The portal? Why? To go where?"

"To the human-

I don't let him finish his sentence and run towards the portal.

People around me only seems to get closer and closer and I realize that it's because they are looking at my wife's sentence like it's a spectacle. If I had the time I would all kill them but I need to hurry.

"Flinn!", Ava screams and I look at her body curled up around herself.

Something is wrong. She would never put herself in such a frail position in front of everyone if it wasn't the case. I try to get closer but a soldier stops me.

Not today buddy.

I look at him in the eyes and use my magic to put him at my order.

"Let me pass now."

He moves out of the way, eyes stuck in a trance and I run toward Ava, not thinking about the fact that I just used my magic on another fae, something passable of imprisonment and even death penalty.

Probably the second since it is a soldier.

But I look at Ava and when I realized that she is missing her wings and she looks at me with a look that mean, there is nothing else that you can do, I scream of outrage.

I take her in my arms and once I know that she is not alone, for the first time, I let my eyes wander around the public space.

A crowd as formed around us, upper and lower class all together for what must be the first time since centuries. I guess that's what a banishment do.

Soldiers are stopping the faes from coming close to us but some are flying above us, trying to have the best view of the spectacle.

I finally see the Queen and the King, giving me a disapproving stare and I spat at them.

"What the fuck is your problem?", I snarl and the Queen has the audacity to smile.

"Your girlfriend-

"Wife.", I cut her, more by habitude, because people usually don't want to acknowledge that we're married, than by rudeness but the population's surprise makes me roll my eyes.

How can that stupefy them, but seeing a woman having her wings cut, with all of her magical abilities inside, not shock them at all.

They are hypocrites. They will always be on the stronger's side.

She looks angrily at me and continue.

"She is accused of treason and will be banished in the human world."

"Like hell she is-" I begin before being cut by a man's voice.

"Your majesty, our son doesn't know what he's talking about.", my father says, pushing through the crowd to be better heard.

"Take the bait Finn, stay here you don't have to stay with me.", I hear Ava's voice muttering and that only convince me further to stay.

The Queen looks at my father before scoffing.

"Your excuses do not mean anything to me. Put these two in the portal.", she orders and I feel two man grabbing me towards the portal with Ava in my arms.

I look at the Queen in the eyes as I feel myself be engulfed in the portal.

She'll pay. They will all pay.
