Cerberus

Shit.

I reaaaaally fucked this one up.

She calmly pulled the lasagna from the oven, cutting it and serving it. She ate a slice and was silent the entire time. Her eyes constantly lingering over me before she placed two slices down on a plate, placing the plate across from her on the table.

She finished her plate and washed the dishes, called goodnight to the old guy, even took him to his room and locked the door before she came back in.

Azazel walked in yawning and stretching obnoxiously before smirking at Bella, "Goodnight Beauty." He said waggling his stupid brows before heading out the kitchen.

She was acting so normal, "Goodnight Aze, don't have too many dirty dreams." She teased while he made a comment about not making any promises.

Once he was gone, she leaned into the counter and stared at me for a loooong minute. I mean it was probably about five minutes before she went to say something-then she stopped as Damien walked in giving us both an odd stare. He only glanced at her momentarily before washing his dish and then giving a small 'Night' to us both.

I didn't move.

I didn't say anything or do anything because I'm sort of waiting for her to freak out, or throw something at me. Maybe pull out a cross and shout bible versus to me, but she just watched Damien walk out and then stared at me again. Hells and Devils, she's beautiful.

It was quiet a bit longer until the sound of Damiens door shutting came. "So that's why he called you a pervert." Of all the things for her to say, I did not expect that one. I swear, she's the most difficult person to guess the next move of.

She looked me up and down, "Go to the other form, it's more natural." She said brushing the dog body off with a nod of her hand.

Right.

Shifting, I let my body take on its demon form, "So this is your true form?" She asked looking my body over in a very open manner. I felt a bit exposed now.

I shook my head and she cocked an eyebrow, "Normally in Hell I uh can change into a three headed beast. I've only got three forms though, the dog, this which I usually stay in and then the beast." I explained slowly, trying to say everything carefully.

She slowly walked back over and stood only a foot from me. Her eyes looked up at my face, and as a demon I was much taller. I stared down at her watching her chest rise and fall with....fear? Or maybe excitement. I wasn't sure. I couldn't read her very well.

Her hand reached up and I couldn't help but flinch when she rested those slender fingers onto my bare chest. "Ah." I said nervously.

Bella gave a small smile, finding this amusing, "You're real. God this is insane. So you are a pervert." She insinuated pointing to me accusingly.

I couldn't help but smile at her lack of fear, her lack of disgust, "You're not like other humans Bella. You're odd." I stated with a light laugh.

She dropped her smile and stared at the markings over my body, "So I've been told." She said under her breath.

Her hand ran up over my shoulder, tracing the x markings. "You're not disgusted." I pointed out while she gazed up at me and shook her head, "No, I'm actually quite fascinated. I've always known there was so much more to life than just what we see. I mean yes, I'm definitely freaking out on the inside though." She laughed lightly and I felt like I could breathe finally.

So I could've had a chance with her. "Bella, I'm sorry about this." I said low while she looked to me confused before I bent down and took her lips. They were as soft as I'd imagined, she didn't push me away, or even gag. In fact she gave a little kiss back.

When I pulled back, I watched her stare at me with a light glare, "Next time, I'll kick your ass." She threatened me. Damn. I've lived for hundreds of years, and I've never met a demon or human, or even an angel as magnificent as her.

I felt a smile bloom over my lips, "Don't worry, Damien would kick my ass if I ever tried it again." I admitted while her eyes slowly widened.

Then she wrapped her arms around herself, "So he really is Satan's son?" She asked softly while gesturing to the plate of lasagna. "I'm sorry eat, I forgot to offer."

Taking a seat at the table, I watched her walk over and sit across from me, her eyes lingering on me as I ate her delicious cooking.

I finished it and she took the plate and fork, going to the sink and placing them in it.

I wonder if she thinks she's dreaming.

Gaia is going to kick my ass.

Standing up, I walked over to her, "Damien won't be happy." I said aloud while she turned and gave me a careful stare, "So he's definitely the Prince of Hell. That's what I've been seeing in my dreams." She replied.

So she has been dreaming of hell! I knew it.

I gave a small nod and her eyes lit up, "That's insane! But why's he here? He's on earth." She said confused while glancing at me and then the ceiling and back at me.

Reaching up, I brushed her hair behind her ear, "Uh, he's here for his grandfather. Plus he does a lot of soul collecting. When the Reapers can't, He does it. So anyone who won't die because they've got a stubborn guardian angel." Am I allowed to tell her all this? No. Am I still doing it? Yeah.

She thoughtfully made a soft "Oh" sound and stepped closer, tracing the markings over my sternum with her finger. "So you're like his fairy godfather?" She asked laughing low.

I couldn't help but laugh and then shook my head, "No, I'm uh, more like a mentor. I just make sure he knows how to take over for his father when the time comes. It's hard since he's got morals." I admitted trying not to be too distracted by her touch.

Bella smiled up at me, "And you don't, right? I mean you've seen me naked about a hundred times by now. The audacity of you." She said giving me a light shove.

I grinned and shrugged shamelessly, "Best damn looking woman I've ever laid my eyes on." I held her face in my hands gently and she blushed rolling her eyes. "Careful flirt," she gave a light scowl holding my hands and pulling them from her face.

Right.

She stared at my claws, "So how old are you?" She's honestly taking this extremely well, I'm slightly worried for her mental health. I mean she lost her family, her fiancé, her job, her entire lifestyle, became a pole dancer, saw a guy shoot himself, and then now me. This all has to have a heavy affect on her.

I focused back on her question. "I lost track after six hundred. Demons don't die, we only wound up stuck with shitty jobs if we fail." I watched her eyes grow, "You're old." She said softly.

Yeah, "Is Damien old too?" She asked glancing up at me.

Nope, "He's a baby. He'll stop aging this year, but he's only twenty six." I sighed, wondering how great life would be at such a young age.

She nodded once, "Interesting." She spoke quietly.

I could feel Damiens antsyness. He's probably been waiting for her to come to bed. "We should get to bed. I'll tell you more tomorrow." I watched her give a nod before she pushed up on her tip toes and embraced me in a hug.

Oh. Okay.

Holding her, I gave her a hug back and then she moved back, "Thank you for making me feel safe, for protecting me." She said before leaning in and kissing my cheek.

I melted a bit before she gave me a sly smirk and headed out the kitchen.

Damiens going to kick my ass.
