Lacey's POV:

Chris & I always have our daily card game every Friday after school. We usually switch it up.

This week is uno. I know it's lame to play uno with just two people but hey, it's whatever.

One thing I really like about playing with him is I get to hang out alone with him.

I've always found Chris Chambers really cute! But I've never said anything because I don't want to mess up our friendship.

*Thursday at school*

I was at my locker when Chris snuck up behind me.

"I gotcha!" He said, poking his fingers against my hips.

"Ah!" I screamed. I turned around and chuckled.

"I hate it when you do that!" I playfully punch his shoulder.

"It's the law." He laughed. He leaned against the lockers next to mine.

"So we're up for uno tomorrow?" He asks.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world." I smiled.

"Great. Also bring some snacks. We're gonna spice things up tomorrow night!" He smirked.

My heart jumped with excitement and curiosity.

"Oh really? I'm intrigued." I said blushing.

"Movie night sweetheart! I was thinking after the game we could eat, watch a funny movie and just talk." Chris said excitedly.

Now what I heard him say was, "Movie night baby! I was thinking we could cuddle, feed each other snacks and get a little cozy with each other if you know what I mean?"

But of course, this is reality.

"Wow Chris! I can't wait!" I smiled.

"Great, now I gotta look for Gordie, I'll catch ya later." He playfully hit my arm and left.

• The next day •

I managed to buy 3 bags of chips and some candy after school. I told Chris I'd come by his house around 4.

I didn't know how long I was going to be at his house or even if I was going to spend the night so I packed extra clothing.

Sounds like I'm being over-prepared but better safe than sorry.

I hugged my mom goodbye.

"Be safe sweetie!" My mom said. I smiled at her and left.

Chris only lives 10 minutes from me so it wasn't a far walk.

I did our special knock on the front door.

"Hey Lacey!" Chris said happily.

"Hey buttface, hope you cleaned up the place for me." I joked as I was walking in.

"Oh please I wouldn't clean up for the queen." He said closing the door.

"Excuse me I like think I'm the queen around here." I said, making myself comfortable on the couch.

"Pfft okay 'princess'." Chris said mockingly.
