Chapter 7 - Darling Lily

Amira Khan is an Asian American who left Los Angeles to Oklahoma City after she and her dad has been reunited
Can you believe before she was born her dad was not ready to take responsibility for it he thought he's too young to have a child at that time so he ran off with Rosemary Lily's friend

Lily is the name of Amira's mom a single mom who raised her daughter alone who left all for the sake of love which was a just a fallacy, she chose Anderson over her family and education but was abandoned during her pregnancy she decided to return to her parents, to her greatest surprise her father disowned her and shut her off, she was left begging in the street at first she wanted to abort the baby but later agreed to give birth to the child

14 days later her mother's handmaid located her and gave her an envelope 💌 and told her whenever you feel like forgiving your parent you can read it and I hope you will find a place in your heart to forgive them, I really wish that day will come true then she left

3 days later she saw the trashmen collecting the trash can, she ran and stopped them not from taking the can, she searches them rest that was yet to be collected and found the envelope. She decided to open it and see what's inside

The moment she opens it, she was shocked to see was inside. It was a credit card and a letter with the following words written on it

  Dear Darling Lily
                 My darling Lily this world is inevitable and cruel but it doesn't mean you have to be cruel because it is
The world might be filled with wicked people doesn't mean there are no good people in it,
Some person's intention might be deadly but it doesn't mean some doesn't have good intentions. I believed by now life has taught you something you will never want to experience or know

I want you to know that as long as you are in this world no one will notice your pain, no one will notice your sadness, no one will notice your tears, all they will notice is your mistakes so take these words to your heart and meditate on them daily, no one wants to know how you struggle or what you pass through all everyone wants to see is the result.
If you ever find yourself in an ocean of love give yourself to it and swim in it, for that is the only way for you to make it across to the other part.

This life is good when you are happy
But it is better when other people are happy because of you
People might not thank you or reward you for what you do but when God is the reason for loving and giving you will receive a greater blessing in return

My daughter don't be afraid to lose those you love if they are not afraid to lose you,
Never cry for the person who killed your smile but before you Judge view from the person's perspective or walk in their shoes then you might experience the life they are living

Every moment of your life is a picture which you never imagine, I'm letting you know now that the scars you can't see are the hardest to remove

As you know I have cancer I just want you to know that my cancer has developed to the final stage, the doctor says that I only have three months to live

Tears rolled down from Lily's eyes but she continued reading

Now that I gave you my credit card all my money is now your so spend it wisely

Home is the place of closure for everything if you ever feel lost follow the address at the back of this letter to get home

As life is growing in you, death is growing in me so whatever you want to do is your choice, I just want you to know that I stand by it.

Having you was my greatest Joy but now you have become my greatest sorrow, you were my sun and earth, the light that lights my path, my source of joy, my pain killer, my, all in all, the reason I want to live but now I don't think I have any desire to live anymore. I'm not asking for your forgiveness for what your father and I did to you, I hope you will understand why we did it and I hope you will choose the right path for yourself.

I want you to promise me one thing and that is for you to keep the life that is growing in you, make sure that he/she doesn't hate his/her father, tell how much he loved him/her also  don't forget to tell your children the stories I used to tell you when you were little and how great I was to you, for this will be the only thing that will give me rest in the afterlife

Now my daughter that the world is in your hand chose carefully and never forget the life you promise yourself

After reading the letter she wanted to cry a river but there were no more tears left. She went and visited her mother one more time before traveling to Los Angeles.

AMIRA's POV
After narrating my mom history, I wipe the tears that rolled from my eyes with my left hand, that's my story what else do you want to know, I asked
I'm so sorry to say but you mean that your father left your mom when she was pregnant of you what kind of Father would do that, Julia asked
My father I replied to her

And your mom didn't tell you all these things?
Sophia asked

My mom is always like your father is kind, so caring and loving, he's this, he's that you know all the good stuff a child wants to know or believe their father is

So how did you find out about it, Sophia asked

One faithful day, when she to buy things from the supermarket I saw the letter under her pillow in her room, the same letter she reads every night.

When she came I confront her with it, she only told that all I need to know is that my dad travel and he is coming back soon then she begins to tell me about my grandma how lovely and caring she was without knowing I have taken the address and phone number at the back of the letter

The next day I follow the address to the house and found out it was my grandpa place, long story short he was the one who told me everything

That's it I said to them

(Phone ringing) Sophia's phone was ringing so she went out to answer, I continue the conversation with Julia

Hey Julia come and take a look at the letter
After reading it she said your grandma is a shitty person but a good writer and a mother yeah I know I replied to her, immediately we heard the door slam it was Sophia

it was like her worse nightmare is becoming a reality

I'm sorry I have not been writing these past months, it just that I'm busy a lot recently
