Dreams Within Us

Chapter 4

Everyone is so excited for us. My friends keep on telling me that they are so proud of me. Well, to be honest, kahit ako hindi makapaniwala na mata-tanggap ako. All my life, I've been so pessimist about myself. I don't even have high dreams nor extravagant goals. But don't get me wrong, everytime na nangagarap ako ng mataas laging may negative vibes na magco-contradict sakin. I'm trying to fix this negative trait of mine, but it's not that easy. Maybe and hopefully soon. Going back to this despedida party prepared by our parents, masyado kaming naging busy ni Aly na mag entertain ng mga bisita. Actually, we're not really used to this kind of gathering. We both hate parties or dealing with lots of people. Pinagbigyan na lang din namin sina Mommy and Tita Carol kasi sobrang pinaghandaan talaga nila ito and besides matagal nila ulit kami bago makita. A lot of people are so happy for us. Sabi pa nga ng ibang friends namin na kami daw ang epitome ng relationship goals. Some of our relatives even teased us na baka bigla daw kaming mag secret wedding ni Aly sa Singapore.
I'm still glad that a lot of people came to congratulate us. Natapos ang party but Aly decided to stay for a while.

"Tara." he suddenly grabbed my hand.
"Saan tayo pupunta?"
Papunta kami ng sasakyan n'ya at talagang pinagbuksan pa n'ya ako ng pinto.
"Basta." he just winked at me as if he's trying to tease me.
Tawa lang kami nang tawa throughout our not so late night drive.
"We're here!"
Napatingin na lang ako sa bintana and I'm so surprised na nasa isang park na pala kami. This place is so special for us.

"Wow, Aly! Ngayon na lang ulit tayo pumunta dito after such a long time." I can't contain my happiness and excitement to see this place again.
"I know! And besides I just really want to visit this place once again with you." hinawakan n'ya lang ng maigi ang kamay ko while smilingly looking at me.
I swear I'll never get tired looking at this dashing man. And I'm so lucky that I'm his girlfriend.
Naghanap lang kami ng pwedeng upuan na may magandang view.
"Remember when we first went here?" natatawa n'yang tanong.
"We just celebrated our first anniversary. And suddenly meron tayong hindi napagkasunduan that led to our first major quarrel. We were so immature."
Natatawa pa rin siya habang nagku-kwento. Well, totoo naman. This place reminds us kung paano kami ka-babaw dati. Dito kami nag-celebrate ng first anniversary namin and dahil sa hindi lang kami magkasundo sa magandang spot kung saan pwede mag-picture nag-away na kami. I even cried out loud because I was so pissed. Childish and pathetic, right?
Natigil naman ang pagre-reminisce ko ng nagsalita siya ulit.
"But look at us now. We're still together and I'm sure we can face any challenges as long as we have each other."
He slowly leaned on me and planted a sweet kiss on my lips.
This is so perfect. I can say that I'm the happiest right now. I'm the happiest when I'm with him.
I know I can face all the hardships, triumphs, and changes as long as I'm with Aly. He made me a better person. I know I'm too dependent on him, but at least I depend my happiness on the right person. And I'm hundred percent sure about that. During those 5 years that we're together, never n'yang pinaramdam na may kailangan ako ika-insecure, he always makes me feel special and consider my feelings every single day. He finds a way to have more time for me. I may not be his utmost priority but at least hindi siya nagkulang para magwork ang relationship namin.

Medyo nakaka-pagod ang pakikipag-usap sa bisita maghapon, but here we are strolling around the park while enjoying a peaceful and quality time together.

"You know, love, I'm so glad that I got the job." hinigpitan ko 'yung pagkakahawak ko sa kamay n'ya.
"I know I may sound immature and selfish, but I honestly don't know what to do if you decided to work in Singapore without me."
To be honest, I can't imagine my future without Aly.

"Ano ka ba Sam, umpisa pa lang may tiwala na ako sayo. Look, natanggap ka because you deserved it and you really worked hard for it." He just kissed my forehead, and that's enough for me to feel assured.

"Like you, I also don't know what to do kung hindi tayo magkasamang pupunta ng Singapore. I always want to be with you, Sam."

Oh, God. I will never stop loving this man.

"I love you so much."
I just hugged him so tight.
"I love you too. Masyado ka ng madrama."

Well, that's all we really need. Everything will be fine as long as we're together. I feel so contented on what we have right now. And I couldn't ask for more.

Medyo malapit na rin mag midnight when we got home. Hinatid n'ya muna ako samin and I insist na umuwi siya agad kasi anong oras na rin.

"Love, wait, I have something for you."

Bigla naman siyang may kinuha sa trunk and he pulled out a big stuffed toy plus a bouquet of roses.

"Thank goodness hindi masyadong nalanta. I forgot to give these to you this afternoon. Congratulations for getting the job, love!" medyo natatawa pa siyang nakalimutan n'yang ibigay.

"Grabe! Bakit nag-abala ka pa? Wala man lang akong regalo for you. Wait, ano bang gusto mong gift? Kailangan kong makabawi."
Nakakahiya din kasi talaga. Hindi ko akalain na magbi-bigay pa siya ng regalo. We're not used to giving gifts so I was quite surprised na may ganitong surprise pa siya.

"Gusto mo talaga makabawi?" nakangiti n'yang sabi at medyo may pa-pout pa.
Ito talagang boyfriend ko. So to tease him I just kissed him on the cheeks.

"Ay grabe, kuripot naman magbigay ng regalo." I just laugh off his tantrums kasi sobrang cute.
Fine, pagbigyan ko na nga. I placed my hands on his face and kissed him on the lips.

"O sige na. Umuwi ka na. Late na rin."
"Yes, boss. Uuwi na." and he suddenly sealed me with a kiss.
"Goodnight kiss. I have to go. Pasok ka na rin sa inyo."
Pasakay na siya ng sasakyan and I reminded him na mag ingat sa pagma-maneho.
"Eyes on the road ha! Ingat ka sa pagda-drive. And text me when you got home."
"Noted po,boss. I love you."

It's been a busy yet meaningful day for us. And I can't wait to spend more quality time with Aly.
