7) and i can't take it back

"Visiting hours are over, sir."

"I have special privileges."

"It's okay Leah, he's allowed to stay."

Silence followed but after a few moments his sweet yet broken voice spoke.

"You can wake up now..we're all ready for you to get up, Bunny."

More silence.

Tears.

Sobs.

"I know you want to take your time. You want to heal. But I just want you to know that I miss your voice and I miss your smile and...today was supposed to be our wedding." For the first time in what felt like forever, I felt his head rest on my arm. His hair wasn't brushed and it felt longer than usual.

"I'm here when you're ready. And when you do wake up we can get married right here. I promise." His hand touched mine and I put all of my might into squeezing his. This resulted in the slight flick of my pinky but he felt it.

"When you're ready.."

Wilbur's PoV

"The baby is healthy. We do tests twice a week just to make sure nothing changes. Anna seems perfectly fine but for some reason she won't come out of her coma." The doctor spoke to my mother and I.

Mum nodded as he spoke while I stared at her. It had been three weeks since I felt her pinky move. Everyday I hold her hand hoping it'll move once more but I've gotten no response.

The doctor left along with my mother who said she was going to get us something to eat. Her and dad take turns staying with me. They were barely impacted when we were hit. In fact for some reason Anna should have been the least impacted by the wreck yet here she was in a hospital bed unable to wake up. I managed to scrape by with a few broken ribs and a broken wrist.

"Your mum and dad are coming again. They can't spend too much time here though. Lana calls everyday as well asking about you. I think she's getting bored of me though." I brushed the hair out of her face and stared at her. She was thinner in the face. But she was still my bunny.

"Now surprisingly, Travis misses you the most out of everyone. He told me he loves you very much. Everyone does." My other hand slipped into hers perfectly. At the end of my sentence I felt a full on squeeze.

"Anna?" My eyes flickered up to hers hoping that she would show more movement. The doctor came back in moments later and I told him that she squeezed back this time.

"It's possible she could be slowly waking up." He explained.

"How long does that usually take?" I asked growing impatient.

"Depends. Could be hours could be weeks." He said looking down at the clipboard once more. "Let me know if you need anything."

"Thanks." He left leaving me alone once more.

"I'd prefer hours over weeks, Bunny." I said with a slight laugh at the end.

Anna's PoV

Days passed and I was aware of that for once. It felt like I was trapped in a small room and the door that would let me out was slowly getting bigger. I could hear, feel, and smell Will. He could use a shower but sadly I couldn't voice that to him. I knew when it was night time when the bed creaked slightly and I felt an arm lay on top of my stomach.

"I can't wait until we can be a family again." Will rubbed my stomach gently in circular motions.

Wilbur's PoV

"Will.."

Silence.

"Wilbur."

Even more silence.

"Stringbean."

I know most of you guys probably hate me for discontinuing the series, but I personally hated how this book was going. I'm hoping I can turn it around and maybe not make it as shitty as it would have ended up if I continued that path. I guess I'm just gonna go for a wholesome book from now on and keep it simple and sweet. I'm sorry for taking so long to do this but fuck it why not. I hope you're all well and not salty about me not writing this book!! Love you!!
