Chapter 2

"I'm so tired" Minhee muttered under her breath, laying her head down on her arm as an attempt to take a short nap before the class really starts. But before she can even close her eyes, someone startled her making her curse.

"What the fuck, Jeon!" She yelled at him as she eyed him in anger and irritation.

Jungkook backed off a little from her with both hands up in the air, "I was just saying good morning to you, princess".

"Yea but startling me by whispering on my fucking ear is not that pleasing, stupid!" She answered him, throwing her bag to him which he caught it perfectly.

Jungkook put her bag back on her table before settled down beside her, looking at her. "Didn't mean to startle you tho, why are you so mad anyway?" Jungkook asked, shrugging his shoulder as he could not understand as of why Minhee is so mad by a playful joke.

Minhee turned her head away from him before positioning herself back to her previous position to take a nap. "Maybe if you don't disturb me I'll be perfectly fine" She snapped, care less about what Jungkook would feel.

Jungkook scoffed, "Okay, feisty. I was just trying to be a decent friend but it's you who always tries to push a friend away. No wonder you have no friend in the first place".

At this point, the bickering is not even a joke anymore.

"Oh yea? For your information, I never ask for a friend" She said for the last time before completely ignoring his presence beside her. All she wanted is a peaceful nap.

Minhee is so tired as she could not get a good sleep last night. She was busy taking care of her little sister who all of a sudden fell sick. Byeol's temperature suddenly got so high that she had to put her into the tub to cool her down. It took her a while until she could finally tucked her into the bed and finally get herself some rest.

Just as she was about to doze off, the lecturer entered the class. She groaned lightly before picking her head up to greet him. It was Art class now, she does not even know if she can fully concentrate on the lesson.

"For today's lesson, I want you to draw something or someone that is so precious to you — the one you would never want to lose" The lecturer started the lesson by a short briefing on the task they have to do.

Three hours had passed and the Art class finally ended. Minhee has passed her task to the lecturer before she dismissed herself out from the class. As soon as she stepped out from the class, she suddenly receives a phone call from the nursery which she quickly answers.

The woman on the other line was explaining a situation to her which makes her speaks back a little to loud. "What?! Oh my god, I'll be there as soon as possible" Minhee said in rush and panicked.

Jungkook who is just gotten out from the class witnessed her being all panicked, which he then stood right behind her to ask if there is anything wrong.

"Minhee, you okay?" He asked her as soon as she hits the red button on her phone.

Minhee turned around to look at Jungkook, "Please tell the lecturer that I won't be able to come for the next class. It's an emergency". Before Jungkook can even utter a word, Minhee had turned her heels around and make a run.

"Hey, Park Minhee!" He called her but she already turned at the corner, away from him.

Due to the curiosity, Jungkook decided to run after her. There is still two hours left before the next class so it is fine for him to go investigate her.

As he is finally out of the building, he could see her at the front gate trying to catch herself a cab but unfortunately there is none around — if there is, it's already occupied. With that, he ran to his bike and started the engine before he wears his helmet. Then, he drove off to the front gate to her.
