I blinked stupidly.
"I'm sorry I thought you said Tri Wizard Tournament for a moment then" I laughed uneasily.
Lucy looked at me as if I was some kind of idiot.
"That IS what I said" she started at me.

This can't be right.
I got up and walked over to the Gryffindor table where all my family were sat together.
I scanned the table and found Albus and James.
As I approached they turned and saw me, their faces breaking into identical grins.
"Lils guess what!" James exclaimed.
I held up my hand to silence him and he tilted his head, confused.
"You're entering the Tri wizard tournament?!" I yelled, not caring who stared at me.
Albus kept smiling "yeah! Isn't it great?"
I shook my head, not believing what I was hearing.
"Do you not remember everything dad told us about that tournament? How horrible it was? All the nightmares and everything? Or did it just slip your mind?" I was close to tears, the thought of my brothers entering this tournament made me think back to everything my father had told me.
Cedric. Pettigrew. Voldemort.
My brothers faces fell.
"Well yeah Lils but..."
He paused. But what, I thought.
I stood and waited for a reply.
Albus sighed.
"We want to carry on the Potter name. We want to be just like dad and...."
He trailed off.
I lowered my voice "and?"
He sighed again "and we knew it would have to be us, it's not like you could do anything like that"
I winced. That hurt.
"Thanks" I snapped. "Thanks a lot"

I ran off before the whole of the school saw the tears running down my face.
I snatched my schedule from the Slytherin table and ran out of the hall.
I crashed into someone and they fell backwards, me landing on top of them.
"Well Lily flower, if I'd have known you wanted me that much I'd have done something about it by now" a familiar sarcastic voice muttered from beneath me.
I jumped up, my face burning.
Malfoy stood up after and brushed himself off, smirking.
He looked down at me and stepped forward, moving his hand to my face to wipe away a tear.
"What's wrong Lily flower? You fall over?" He leaned in and whispered in my ear "or is little Lily frightened of something else?"
I opened my mouth but no words came out.
No witty reply.
Nothing.

I just stood and stared at him, our faces inches apart.
"You might want to step away from my girlfriend Malfoy"
I turned my head and found Lysander staring at us with clenched fists.
Scorpius just laughed and held his hands up in mock surrender as he walked away whistling a tune that sounded strangely like Girl From Ipanema.
Lysander took a step closer and wrapped me in his arms.
"What's wrong Lils?"
I shook my head. "Nothing"
He opened his mouth to reply and I pushed him away.
"I'll be back soon" I said before rushing off.
I heard Lysander calling my name but I ignored it.

I had an idea.

I wanted to prove I was more than just Harry Potters little princess.
I suddenly remembered mine and Hugo's pact we made on the train.
Still angry, I ran to the dungeons and hunted for the room in which the goblet of fire was kept.
I was too blinded by hurt and anger to seriously think about my actions so it was no surprise that i took some parchment from my pocket and scribbled my name on it, dropping it into the cup without hesitation.

The sound of thunder filled the room and echoed, bouncing off the walls.
My heart stopped and the angry fog cleared in my mind.
What had I done?
I ran out of the room and backed up against a wall, slowly sliding down.

There was a voice in my head saying Its not like someone like me would be picked though right?

but then another voice piped up...but what if you are?
I put my head in my hands when I heard the bell, signalling first lesson.
I lifted my head and took my schedule from my pocket and scanned it to see what I had first.

Sixth year defence against the dark arts.

There was a little note attached that stated because I was way ahead of my fellow fifth years in DADA that I would be joining Albus, Rose, Dominique and Molly in Professor Sampson's class.
I groaned and stood, making my way to his class which had already begun by the time I got there.
I walked in and everyone turned to stare at me.
I felt my face start to redden as I lowered my head.
Professor Sampson walked over and introduced me to the class.
He was one of those teachers that looked old but acted like one of the students a lot of the time, he had greying brown hair and aged soft blue eyes that twinkled when he was teaching.

"Okay everyone this is Lily Potter, she will be joining our class this year." He scanned the room.
"Then again" He paused "This class is mainly made up of your relatives so there's no point introducing you." He chuckled lightly as the class did.
He looked around again.
"I don't think we have any spare seats" he mumbled, squinting.
"There's one here Professor"
I turned to see Scorpius sat in the back corner, his usually devilish face had been replaced with a picture of innocence as he gestured to the seat next to him.
The Professor just smiled and gestured for me to sit there.
I walked slowly to the back of the room and dropped into the seat beside Malfoy, moving to the edge of the table.
"I don't bite you know" he whispered and I looked at him, his smirk plastered back on his face.
Maybe I was just imagining his innocent face?
I rolled my eyes and opened my textbook to the page his was on and began working through the questions.
