Lane's POV
I turn to her to comfort me. I have always been the one to comfort her even when she didn't know it was me. It's funny how you can know somebody so well, but to them you're practically a stranger.
Rayn's POV
He looked up at me with eyes like a green ocean. "After that I ran away. I took one of the cars even though I was only fifteen. I broke into my parents safe and took the money I would need to survive. I was a mess that night whenever I watched the news. A husband and wife were reported dead and the child was missing. It also appeared that they were robbed. The next day I went to the store and bought some scissors and hair dye. Don't worry, this is my natural hair. It grew out. I died it an extremely orange color, it looked ridiculous on me. But a disguise is a disguise. I didn't go to school for a while. I later enrolled again under the name Evan. It's hard to believe that we met properly only a few hours ago. I feel like I can tell you anything, but you're still keeping your guard up. It's ok. I know that it's a lot to take in and that I wasn't completely truthful. But Rayn, believe me, I'm telling the truth now."
"Wait... if those scars aren't from a car crash what are they from?"
"Um...I used to self harm. Don't worry about me though. After I got back to you I stopped. You're the reason I stopped."
I lift up my sleeves revealing my fresh wounds. He looks down at them, teary-eyed. Then he looks into my eyes and says, "I want to make sure you never do this again." He brings my arms up to his mouth and kisses them. For most people they wouldn't let a stranger touch them at all, much less kiss them. But this wasn't a stranger. He had been helping me all along. His kisses are like band-aids that heal all the bad things that have happened to me.

Hiiii! Thanks for reading! I would really like to start posting more often. The next chapter Rayn and Lane will actually start having an adventure, trust me. It won't be another back story, nor will it be this short. I'll also try to not make it so sad. I have so many plans for Rayn, just not enough time to write them down.
