Hope's Peak Academy

The center of the world's hope, where the best of the best go to hone their skills. They say graduating from Hope's Peak leaves you set for life.

I never expected to get in. I had a hobby I was pretty good at, but I didn't think it was worthy of getting into Hope's Peak Academy for. That is, until my mother came into the kitchen beaming with joy, holding a letter with a Hope's Peak emblem on the envelope. Curiously, I grab the letter from her hands and carefully opened the seal. Inside, a two sheets of paper. I unfolded them, and read out loud the contents of the letter to my mother, plus my father and younger brother who happened to stumble into the room.

Greetings, student!

It is with great honor and hope for the future that we compose this letter.

You have been personally selected out of hundreds of potential students, based on talent, skill, and
educational merit, as one of the most inspiring and qualified individuals of your generation. As such, we would like to formally extend an invitation for you to attend prestigious Hope's Peak Academy - home to exceptionally talented and gifted high school students of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds living within Japan. Hope's Peak Academy aims to recognize - and reward - greatness within the younger generations of today, in the hope that we can forge a fresh future together, in which success is guaranteed.

Unfortunately, we understand that obtaining greatness is no simple feat. Extraordinary talent walks hand in hand with extraordinary circumstances, many of which surround the academy and its students. With the difficulties of today's society, one must persevere through hardship in order to accomplish their goals. At Hope's Peak Academy, we fully understand this very concept - perhaps even more so than your average educational facility. Though Hope's Peak Academy itself faces innumerable conflicts in today's world, we believe in the strength of perseverance and determination. Together, we can continue on the path forward. We must not lose sight of our goals, and must create a new path ahead.

Should you accept our invitation, you - as well as 31 other students of exceptional talent and skill - will be part of the 77th class of Hope's Peak Academy. We've got everything you need. To celebrate, we have waived all typical first-year entry fees, including enrollment fees, travel fees, room and boarding fees, meal plan fees, and health service fees - in addition to fees associated with coursework tailored to fit your specific talent and skillset - everything for free. We are not looking for your money; rather, we simply wish to know that Hope's Peak Academy once contributed towards paving a warm, bright path for you as a future member of Japanese society.

To accept this invitation to become part of the Hope's Peak Academy 77th class, please fill out the attached enrollment forms in their entirety, sign the enrollment contract, and return all documents within the next month. Enclosed is an addressed, pre-postmarked envelope for the administrative branch of our campus. Upon delivery of the aforementioned documents, your enrollment will be complete, and travel arrangements will be made for you - you and your family need not worry about a single detail.

At the bottom of the paper, two handwritten signatures had been etched in, one belonging to Jin Kirigiri, the headmaster, and the other from Koichi Kizakura, a Hope's Peak talent scout.

I could faintly hear the cheering of my family in the background, but my eyes were focused on the letter.
