Why is your mind unreadable?

Chapter 2

As I woke to the sound of my phone buzzing, it finally sunk in that school was beginning again; today. I stomp my feet out of bed and start dragging them towards the bathroom.

After a quick, awakening shower, I navigate myself to the clothes; opening the large wooden doors to my walk in closet- I'm in heaven- the best thing about being at my mums is her love for shopping; shopping for me. Being the most popular girl at school is hard. What's worse is being able to read everyone's minds along with the bitchy comments about me,that I try ever so hard to fix. With all this in mind I pick my new black lacy shirt with my high waisted red skirt- to tie it of with a thin black belt and my favourite black, high-heeled boots! Next I straighten my natural blonde waves and apply my light make-up( after trina thought to herself about the make of crayola I apply to my face).

Even after, Louis' relentless texts begging me to let him drive me to school, I still walk with my sister.

My mother is a very successful lawyer which is good since we always have money however, it means she's always at work or never has time for us, I don't mind that much but Sarah is only 10 she needs her mum. Not me.

After dropping Sarah off at the front gate of her school, I begin to walk across the road towards mine; knowing on an agreed time to meet her after school.

As soon as my two feet are through the gate; both my arms are looped through Jessica and Alice. I look at Alice with a friendly smile.

Her mind read...

" eww, I hope your not planning on kissing Louis with that breath, and real classy Millie - the see through shirt- might aswell have a top with Hay look at my boobs!"

Back to reality; "hello earth to Millie" Jess screamed whilst waving a hand in front of my face- "oh sorry" I mumble "what were you saying?" -Jess looks at Alice. Silence. "I was just wondering if you were hitting Jamie's party tonight?" Alice finally said, I looked down at my blank phone screen and replied "umm sure let me ring the sitter, be right back" before they can answer I quickly scurry to the toilets. Firstly, I text mum to tell her, then I call Lisa- mums childhood bestfriend- she is our usual sitter and Sarah absolutely adores Lisa's son Matthew. Lisa says its fine to drop Sarah off after school.

When I return to my little followers; I find them near the jocks- Alice is all over Jakob and Jessica is doing her best to attract the attention of Thomas who has spotted me walking towards them and now has full attention on me, Jess quickly realises and snaps out of her flirty faze. Just then I realised; where's summer?

I feel a muscular arm wrap around my waist and the warmth of his breath on my neck. Louis. Shit. I quickly pop a piece of gum into my mouth; chew, then give Louis a peck on the cheek. After Alice had enough of snogging Jakobs face off she wanders over to us, I look up to her and ask " hay, where's summer?" Alice thinks, she bites her lip and replies "extra morning maths?" I nod, that makes sense summer is the most dipsey girl I know, no wonder she needs help!
