Previously: He spun his head towards me and finally looked back at me in the eye. He smiled ever so gently that made me want to just grab him and make out with him there and then. Thank goodness my self control is very strong.
"Thanks." He awkwardly glanced back up to the tv.

As we watched our favorite show, I drifted off to a deep sleep, smiling, feeling nostalgic of our childhood.
It was a summer afternoon when Third climbed our fence and knocked on my window. That was when it all started.
"Hi!" He said as he continued knocking on my window.
In surprise, I let out a squeal and stared at him. His clothes full of dirt, his arms slightly bleeding (I think from the fall from our fence), yet he's still smiling. He waved his free hand at me as he continued to knock. I finally opened my window when I calmed down.
"Hi. Who are you?" I asked.
"Oh, I am Third, from next door. I just wanna welcome you into our neighborhood and..." He trailed off.
"And what?" I asked again.
"And if you wanted to play. There is no kid around my age here so I really don't have any friends." He answered shyly.
"How old are you?" I asked once more.
"I am turning 5 tomorrow."
I stared at him as he smiles at me. I guess, even since, I have a little crush on him. He tried to force herself in my room but I pushed him out and I climbed out my window instead.
"Wanna come to my house?" He asked.
"Sure. Let me just ask my mom."
I invited him inside through the front door. We passed through dad's study and went straight to the kitchen.
"Mom, this is Third. Can I play at his house?"
"Sure but just for and hour or two, okay?" She replied.
I smiled and nodded my head yes as I drag Third outside and let him lead the way. We played away at his tree house in their backyard until my mom came to pick me up.
We go back and forth in each other's house to play almost everyday but just before I turned 8, something happened.
After playing at Third's house, I arrived at home with the door wide open. I went inside and no one was home. I waited a few hours, watching tv, until I fell asleep on the couch. I was awakend by dad's arrival, slamming the door behind him and punched the wall.
"Dad?" I called out to him.
"Yes, darling? Why aren't you asleep yet?" He asked me with a gentle voice, not wanting to scare me away.
"I just woke up. Where did you go?" I replied.
"Oh, then go back to sleep. I will take you there tomorrow."
"Okay, dad. Goodnight."
He led me into my bedroom and tucked me in and kissed me goodnight. He was just leaving my room when I spoke again.
"Dad?"
"Hmm? What is it?" He slowly walked back to me.
"Where's mom?"
