Dark times

Flash back~

Three years ago dad's birthday

"Eomma" i said "yes sweetie?" She responded "when are we gonna give appa his surprise?" I asked

"Welp im gonna go with his eomma and were gonna decorate the surprise party, so while im doing that you and your big brother have to stay at home with appa until i go pick you up, ok?" I nod

She puts all her things in her basket "ohh look at the time, i otta be on my way now" hobi came downstairs and hugged mom

"Bye eomma" we waved at her "byee kiddos" she smiled and left

"Oppa, are you excited?" I asked "sure" he went downstairs leaving me all alone again

"Hes no fun" i crossed my arms. I waited for dad to come home from work, sitting on the couch all alone in a quiet house. Despite hobi yelling at his game.

Sana was away with her family so she couldn't come and jin, jin is oppas friend so he wont hang out with me

Time skips~

"Guess whos home!!" I jumped up and ran towards dad

"Appa!! Your back, i missed you" he picked me up and swung me around "ahahhha stopp im too old for this"

He put me down and ruffled my hair "I'll remember that you said your to old to play with appa" he joked

"Wheres eomma?" He asked "oh she um she....she went shopping! Yes shopping, have picture day next week" i say with a massive FAKE smile on my face

"But didnt you have picture day last week?-," "NO i just um wanted to go to school pretty"

"Hah ok sure"

Time skips~

After i fed moon I was in my room playing with my computer when my dad called me.

"Kiera sweetheart come here please!" I immediately got up and started walking.

Just as i was going to go down the steps i look to the right and realize i haven't seen hobi since eomma left. 'What if he snuck out'

I head down that hallway, and it was all dark because most of the lights were off, i could barely see 'what happened to the lights'  I questioned

When i got to hobis room his computer was on and his head was down

"Hey dummy you lost" i messed around looking for the light and to get him annoyed.

After finally finding it i flicked the light switch and looked over at hobi who was slouched in his chair.

"Yah your gonna get a bad back you know?" No response "hello?" No response "i didnt do anything for you to be acting like this" No response "Is this because you lost the game?" No response "listen its not that big a deal your really good at it" i grew worried as he stayed still and didnt answer me

"h-hobi are you ok?" Still no response i gave up and went towards him

"Hobi-," he covered my mouth and pointed at a piece of paper that said

Run as fast as you can. I cant protect you kiera. Im writting this before what ever appa ingected me with takes effect. Dont let him catch you ill be fine just go!

I looked up hobi terrified 'what did he mean, whats wrong with appa'. Hobis face was no longer bright it was emotionless and his hands fell limp so did the rest of his body

"H-hobi?" He groaned as his body finished giving out.

I turned around and tiptoed threw the house 'should i call mom?'
