It's almost time for our movie night and everyone is really excited. At dinner, we decide on 8 o'clock, as we have some time to shower and get ready in our pj's before picking a movie. In all my excitement, I'm ready by 7 and text Victoria to see if she can let me into her building as we're having the movie night there. Me and her have been talking all day and we just click. She's pretty much the same person as me, aside from the fact that she has long, bleach blonde hair and she dresses girly and wears heels EVERYWHERE. I'm comfy in my jeans and sneakers, but to each their own, I guess. I have a feeling she's going to become one of my best friends here. She lets me in the building and we hang-out in the common area waiting for everyone else to come.
It's 8:30 and James and Beth are nowhere to be found. Neither one are answering their phones so me and Victoria take it upon ourselves to go back to my building and see what's up. We check Beth's room first and she doesn't answer the door, but promises she'll be down in five minutes as she's finishing up after having a shower. We then go downstairs to James's room. We knock on the door and he happily answers, opening the door just a crack so he can take a peep out to see who it is.
"Hey guys, what's u-"
"MOVE! WE'RE COMING IN!" Victoria pushes open the door and we start cracking up when we see a blonde girl sitting on one of the beds in the room. We look at each other with an 'oh crap' expression on our faces.
"Hey guys, this is my girlfriend, Rachel....uh Rachel, meet the guys."
Now this wouldn't be that bad, except for when you take into consideration the clothing me and Victoria are wearing. We're in our pj's, but not real pj's. Victoria's wearing a tank top with booty shorts and I'm wearing a tank top with skin-tight leggings that I'm just now becoming aware may be see-through. I start to panic because of how bad this might look to his poor, poor girlfriend, so I blurt the first thing that comes to mind.
"Omg you're so pretty!!!! Wow! It's so nice to meet you!" I look at Victoria expecting her to say something next.
"Umm well we just came over to see if you were coming over for movie night still, but it looks like you're a little preoccupied....bye!" She grabs my hand and we don't stop running until we get back to her building, laughing the entire way there.
"God I can't believe we did that!" Victoria cracks herself up just thinking about it all.
"I'm so embarrassed! Why did I say that?? Who says that to someone's girlfriend they just met? She looked PISSED"
"It's fine, it's not our fault he didn't mention a girlfriend. I mentioned my boyfriend practically the minute I met you guys. Besides, she kinda looked like a bitch anyway."
This made me feel a little better about being such a doofus and having word vomit. In actuality, it wasn't that bad at all. When we got back, we told Rick, Beth, and Aubrey about what had happened. We all laughed and joked about the fight James was probably having with his girlfriend now because of us. Then we watched the movie and turned in for the night.
God, I hope I didn't accidentally make this girl hate me.
