ANGELO sat at his desk in the study, working on his papers when his daughter came in to say goodnight to her father. "So? welcome home. Did Harry enjoy the trip?" He curiously asks, leaning back in his chair as he watches his Eliana take a seat down on the sofa across the room. She only nods at his question, not really wanting to continue about Harry right now. "You two had a very good relationship. You're too smart not to know how rare, how special, what you two had was."

She fiddled with the hem of her night gown, avoiding eye contact with her father. Her and Harry's relationship was a private matter and she didn't feel the need to speak about it to Angelo. "Harry was Harry. He may be very intelligent but.."

Mr Perlman cuts her off immediately, leaning his folded arms on his desk "Intelligent? He was more than intelligent. What you two had had everything and nothing to do with intelligence. He was good and you were both lucky to have found each other, because you too are good."

"I think he was better than me." She muttered underneath her breath. There was truth in her words, she always thought that Harry was superior to her. She never would've expected someone like him with such incredible intelligence and looks to go for a young girl like her. She always thought that he was the alpha in that sense and she was the beta.

"I'm sure that he would say the same thing about you, which flatters the both of you." He spoke, grabbing a cigarette out of the packet on the table before he placed in between his lips, covering the flame as he lit the cancerous stick. "When you least expect it, nature has cunning ways of finding our weakest spot. Just remember: I am here. Right now you may not want to feel anything, perhaps you never wished to feel anything. And perhaps it's not me that you'll want to speak to about these things. But feel something for him, you obviously did."

Her father pauses for a moment, waiting for his daughters approval to keep on speaking without over stepping her boundaries. "Then let me say one more thing, it will clear the air. I may have come close but I have never had what you two had. Something always held me back or stood in the way. How you live your life is your business. Remember our hearts and our bodies are only given to us once. And before you know it, your heart is worn out and as for your body, there comes a time where nobody wants to look at it, much less come near it. Right now there's sorrow, pain but you will grow to come to terms with it."

"We may never speak of this again but I hope you'll never hold this against me that we did. I will have been a terrible father if one day, you'd want to speak to me and felt that the door was truly shut."
