remus isn't comfortable doing anything past snogging with sirius for AGES because he's afraid that as soon as sirius sees his repulsive, scarred body he will leave him. on sirius' seventeenth birthday, he finally plucks up the courage to suggest the idea, but he's still very nervous about it. sirius ensures him that what he looks like will not change anything between them and that they can take everything as slow as he wants. sirius takes off his shirt first to try and make him more comfortable, and when remus follows suit, sirius can't believe why he ever wanted to hide his beautiful body. sirius kisses every scar on the other boy, and remus has never felt more safe.
