chapter 6

-narutos pov-

"I'm at point B.'

"I'm at point C."

"I'm at point A."

"ok squad 7, the target has moved, get it naruto?" I saw the cat speed past me, and I squated down.

"NARUTO? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" bubblegum siren yelled. I ignored her and called for the cat. It stopped running and walked over to me, sticking it's head under my arm, purring. Animals always seemed to like me. Soon, the rest of the team was by my side, watching the cat who hates everybody snuggle in my arms. I continued to pet her as I made my way to the hokage's office.

"Oh, my poor little Torah!" Said the owner of the cat, while suffocating little thing.

"Miss, try not to hold her so tight and so much, that is probably the reason she is running away in the first place. Give her personal space, and pet her. Don't suffocate her. Also you're holding her wrong."

"Oh... Could... Could you show me how to hold her properly then?" she asked, and I obliged to those wishes. Torah seemed very happy as they were leaving.

"Kakashi, do you think your team is ready for a C-ranked mission?" The hokage said. The copy cat ninja looked over to me, and I gave him a pleading look. I don't think I can survive any more D-ranked missions.Over the past few weeks, every once in a while kakashi would come up to me, as if he was about to ask something, but always turns away at the last minute.

"I believe my genin are ready." he said to Jiji.

"But, they are new with no experience, they should-" But iruka was cut off by the hokage.

"If their team leader says they are ready, then I will believe him. alright, send in our visitor." He said, as a man who reeked of alcohol walked in. I have very sensitive senses, and this just made me want to jump out the window.

"What the... A bunch of snot nosed kids? And you blondie, you really expect me to believe you're a ninja?" That ticked me off. I have been called many things, but I hate it when people underestimate me. Faster then iruka or kakashi's eyes, I threw thee kunais at him. one landed right above his head, the other two right beside either of his ears. It startled everyone in the room. I hated when I get underestimated.

"I think you shouldn't judge people on sight." I said in an extremely calm but demonic voice, giving every perdon in the room a cold shiver down thier spine.

"Y-Yeah. whatever. you better protect me with your lives!"

We hed been walking for a while, and sakura was chatting with tazuna to cure her boredom. The rest of us just walked in silence. Then, me and kakashi shot eachother a glance when we saw a puddle. It hadn't rained in weeks, plus it was a really shitty genjutsu. Two fugures jumped out of the puddle, and kakashi was about to attack them, when I put my arm in front to stop him.

"Naruto, those are the demon brothers." Kakashi said in a serious tone.

"I know that. Now, report." I said as they got on their knees.

"Sir, it's about a man named Gato, he is-"

"I know who gato is, continue."

"o-ok, he wants this man dead. we don't know why, but he seemed pretty insistent. he 'hired' zabuza and haku as well."

"Alright. thank you. You are dismissed." I said, and they nodded. I then turned my attention then turned to the other people in my group, all of them had their mouths hanging open.

"Now tazuna, you have some explaining to do."

-skipping the explanation cuz I'm lazy-

I walked up ahead, giving them the hint I didn't want to talk. They either didn't get the hint or didn't care.

"What the hell was that?" sasuke said. We had grown a little closer, and I managed to chip away at some of his stubborn uchiha pride.

"I'll tell you later." I said brushing him off. After a little while, zabuza showed up in front of us. And once again kakashi got ready to fight and I stopped him. Zabuza kneeled down, but before he could speak I asked,

"where's Haku-nii?"

"Naru-kuuun!" I hear as haku comes running out of the trees and into my arms.

"I missed you too Haku, geez. Now, Zabuza, I am guessing that you're here bacause Gato hired you?" He nodded, and Kakashi was looking at me like I was insane.

"ok, you are just chilling with some of the biggest people in the bingo book. care to explain." I pretended to think about it, then said, "tell you later, dog." I guess Kakashi had still not fully wrapped around the fact that I was his old ANBU captian.
