"I'm so sorry ma'am, sir, your child is deaf."
"DEAF?! So we've been raising a disabled mistake for three years?!"
"S-Sir, please, do not yell. And with all do respect, it isn't very nice to speak of your child that way."
"What do you mean 'My Child?!' We don't want anything to do with this mistake anymore!"
"Sigh....alrighty then. Take your leave."
Hours later, they left their deaf son at an orphanage entrance. Izuku just stood there, absolutely confused. His parents knocked on the door, and not till a few minutes later, the door opened revealing a tall woman with blonde hair and orange colors eyes.
"Umm. Yes how may I help you? OH! Are you here to adopt?"
The young woman asked, then looked down to see a confused three year old in the middle of his two angry parents.
"NO! We want you to take this deaf mistake! We don't want him anymore so TAKE HIM!"
The female was confused at first, but then understood what was happening.
"Oh, umm, okay. Please come in. You'll have to sign some paperwork."
They walked in, and Izuku followed behind them with his belongings. They followed the lady to the front desk of the building, and grabbed a piece of blank paper and a pen. She wrote some words down and handed to to Izuku. It said:
'Why don't you go play with some of the kids behind you okay? I'll have someone bring your stuff to your new room, and you can have a small notepad and pen for communicating.'The little boy looked at the lady confused. New room? He nodded and took the notepad and pen. He walked to go sit on a small sofa where two boys were playing on. Apparently, he somehow got in the way of their playing.
"HEY! We're playing here! Go sit somewhere else!!"
Of course Izuku didn't hear them, and the boys got annoyed.
"HEY! I SAID MOVE! WE ARE PLAYING RIGHT HERE!"
He still didn't hear them. Izuku was drawing little doodles on the notepad the lady gave him. The two boys got really annoyed and harshly shoved Izuku off the sofa. This caused the boy to land on his side and dropped the pen and pen he had.
"Ahn!"
That was the only sound Izuku could make of being hurt. Considering he couldn't speak, he could only make small noises. The two boys who pushed him, stood over him and started to yell at him again. Izuku couldn't hear a thing. He then got an idea and grabbed the notepad and pen, writing some words down and gave it to one of the boys. They were confused, but read it. It said:
'I'm sorry. I didn't know you two were using the whole sofa. And if you were telling me to move, I didn't hear you because I'm deaf. Please don't be mad..'
The boys looked at Izuku and he had his knees to his chest, hiding his face.
"Oh, I'm sorry. We didn't know you were deaf."
No response.
"Why isn't she responding?! I just apologized, She should be happy or something!"
"Umm...Xander, he's a boy.."
"EH?! But he looks like a fricken girl!"
"You're so clueless.."
"S-Shut up Axel!"
Izuku looked up from his knees and saw them yelling at each other. Of course he didn't hear them so he had no idea what they were talking about. He stood up and walked up to Axel, and tapped his shoulder. Axel spun his head around and looked at Izuku. He blushed madly at his appearance. Izuku was wearing an oversized, white-knitted turtleneck sweater. He wore black stretchy shorts and stockings. Izuku was only three and didn't know why he was blushing so hard.Izuku grabbed the notepad out of Axel's hand and walked over to Xander. Xander's face was just as red as Axel's. Izuku wrote something down on the notepad and gave it to Xander.
'Hello. I'm Izuku. I'm only three and I can't hear anything. By lip reading I now know your names! Your name is Xander, and that's Axel!'Xander was surprised at how skilled he was. First, his HANDWRITING! He didn't know what to say.
Axel was about to say something, but got cut off because Izuku was dragged away to his room. He shared it with two other kids. Apparently, his parents finished the paperwork, and Izuku lives in the Orphanage now. But of course, Izuku never knew that.
"You know, Axel. Even though Izuku is a boy, he's kinda cute."
Xander got a slap to the back of the head from Axel. Izuku didn't need to know of his comment.
