In these words I drown,
swallowing the tide.Every whisper and secret
I've ever held rushing down,
let it consume me.Because above the world is dying,
can't you see?I fear that loss more
than I fear
the all-consuming waves.They tug on my spirit, telling me,
Hush.
Blue, gold, black, and pink
the lights rush to save me,Trying.
But I'm too busy
painting the darkness to see,Failing
to notice the sacrifice
the world has made for me.And as the sun falls
So do I
