"That was very nice of him, don't you think?"

Amber whipped around to find the owner of the voice.

It was a boy with dyed blonde hair and a very sculptured face occupying the desk behind her. Leaning onto his desk, he rested his chin in the palm of his hand, eyes staring disinterestedly at Amber. If she could describe him in one word, it would be sassy.

Amber raised a brow, confused at this boy's words, silently urging him to explain himself.

The boy, catching on, rolled his eyes, and released a flat sigh. After a moment of silence, he finally decided to answer Amber's confused expression. "He has never walked through these halls. NEVER. The students don't know it but there is a separate hall in the school that is blocked off just for him to get to class."

"And you know this because....?"

The boy smirked and puffed out his chest as if he was waiting for Amber to ask. He lightly smacked his desk, "Ki-bum. Kim Ki-bum,  Student council president and the most extravagant person you will ever get to know."

Amber muffled her giggling. The confidence radiating off of him was blinding and a bit amusing. It reminded her of someone she once knew.

"Well, 'student council president,' I am in your care then?" Amber beamed.

"Hmph. Yeah. Whatever. You'll need it. Anyway, call me Ki-bum and I'll call you Amber."

Amber nodded. But before Amber could press any further as to what Ki-bum meant by Amber needing it and going as far as to emphasize it, a teacher walked in to begin the class. The remainder of Amber's time was spent worrying about those words.

Before Amber knew it, She was waving bye to Ki-Bum and driving off with her manager.

Ki-Bum, however, remained at the gates of the school, watching Amber drive off with her manager.

"What's with that ugly frown?"

Ki-bum, feeling the weight on one of his shoulders, turned to find a tall brunette sporting a dopy smile. Smacking his arm away, he continued to frown.

"Minho, listen, will she be okay? She-"

"She'll be okay. We will help her this time. Though her current situation is a bit..."

They both turned to look in the direction where Amber was long gone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Closing the bedroom door behind her, Amber released a long tired sigh as she belly-flopped onto her bed. The whole car ride was just Amber's manager pestering her about who Ki-bum was. She rolled her eyes, could he even be more of a dad?

Rolling onto her back, she thought back to what happened today-- Ki-bum's words, overly curious classmates, and the whole commotion of 'a rare Jungkook spotted in the halls' situation. That's what Ki-bum probably meant, Amber thought. She concluded that he was probably worried because she had gotten herself entangled with BTS and people will most likely bother her or exploit her friendship to get what they want.

She supposed that Jungkook might have been also worried about the same thing and offered is indirect help. She also supposed that she will have to offer her thanks to both Ki-bum and Jungkook next time.

Closing her eyes, she couldn't help but feel that her first day had been a little too eventful. It was worse than what she went through during her trainee days at S.M.
