"MUICHIROO-NII!!" (Y/n) called for her older brother that just came from a mission, everytime the Mist Hashira goes to kill demons (Y/N) waits for his return patiently, it was routin that he loves about his younger sister, it makes him smile knowing that she cares about him. Tokito smiled as he huged (Y/n) taking her little body into his in a warm hug.
after preparing his favorite food for him, they sat on the Tatami floor eating. it was silent yet comfortable until (Y/N) asked her big brother about his journey "Aniki...tell me about your mission" Tokito put down his chopsticks and looked at her, he patted the seat next to him and smiled, (Y/N) sat down and looked at him when he started to tell her his story, how he fought three strong demons and killed them all at once without any struggle, her eyes sparkled as he finished telling her his adventures knowing that her brother is a strong boy now, "i'm so glad that you're fine Aniki, please take care of yourself and kill all the bad demons" Tokito sighted then felt light pressure on his shoulder, he looked down at (Y/N) that she was peacefully asleep on his shoulder, he brushed her soft hair with his rough hand and kissed her head then lifted her up and took her to her room, he gently layed her on her Futon and covered her tiny form with a warm blanket.
For the next few days Tokito went to another mission, it wasn't surprising, after all he's the mist Pillar, but what was surprising for him was the absence of his beloved young sister. (Y/N) wasn't waiting for him in the front of his estate as usual, Muichiro wasn't sure about what was happening so he started looking for her everywhere, but he couldn't find her, he asked the other pillars but none of them have seen her so he made his way back to his place with a sight, he heard someone crying in the garden of the estate, (Y/N)'s favorite place, he started walking toward the voice that's when he saw his little sister crying all by herself, he slowly sat next to her, she sniffed and dried her tears with the hem of her Kimono "Sanemi said that i-i can't be a pillar b-because i'm weak, i want to be strong just like you s-so i can kill all the demons and avenge Yuichiro's death... H-he protected me,but i'm weak..i can't"
"Yuichiro... You can put me down you know? I can walk on my own" a soft voice said as Yuichiro stayed silent, "Aniki... You don't have to carry me around-" "no (Y/N) you're sick, i'm not letting you go" he responded to the little girl, Yuichiro has been carrying his little sister on his back for hours now, (Y/N) was a fragile and weak girl, she was sick like their mother's but that didn't stop the twins from taking care of here. Yuichiro and Muichiro were walking side by side in silence, earlier that day they had an argument with each other, when they heard a soft whimper, Muichiro looked at his younger sister and his eyes widened when he noticed the tears in her (e/c) eyes, Yuichiro stopped and put her down, he whipped off her tears and stared at her with his emotionless face, his eyes softened "why are you crying (Y/n)?, What is it?" She looked at the ground, "i-i'm sorry...i'm really sorry Yuichiro-nee, Muichiro-nee, i should be helping you, you always carry me with you all the time and that must be hard... You always protect me...you always feed me...you always take care of me..i-i just feel so useless..i should be helping not sitting here watching you work so hard while i rest a-and i-" the twins whipped her tears with their rough hands, and smiled at her. Their smiles made her eyes water even more when when they ruffled her hair and kissed her forehead Yuichiro was the one talking while Muichiro just fixed her kimono, "you are our young sister (Y/N) of course we are going to take care of you...after all you are the last family member we have left we will always protect you" Muichiro smiled and fixed her hair again and mumbled for her "forever, we will protect you forever (Y/n)".
