"He's just butthurt that you like me more."

"Not true! She likes me more."

They're at it again, I don't understand it, what's the obsession with fangirling over a bunch of guys that literally do this for their own good? I'm sure they're doing it to make themselves feel better.

I roll my eyes.

That's twincest, is no one talking about this?!

"Y/n," fuck me, they're coming over. "You're staring."

"I'm aware."

No I'm not.

"Awe, do you have a crush y/n?"

Why are they always talking at the same time?! It's terrifying!

"No, but I'm pretty sure those girls you're supposed to be entertaining do."

"Oh come on y/n," Kaoru was approaching, "this has to be at least a little entertaining to those other girls."

"Doubt it." I walked away, trying to avoid these boys as long as I could. I wish they could just be a little normal, just a teinsy weinsy bit, it'd be just enough to make me not want to drown myself.

~time skip~

"Haruhi is missing!" Tamaki busted through my door declaring something I knew to be false at *checks watch* way too early in the morning.

"No she-"

"Get ready, we're going to the inn she's been 'kidnapped' to." I pit finger quotes over kidnapped.

Tamaki is going to be the death of me I swear to god.

After I had packed (well, after Tamaki basically emptied my stuff into this big ass bag he brought along with him) we entered a limo, I'd never been in one, but I didn't want "pity for being poor" so I acted as though it was nothing.

"Okay, so she's apparently volunteering at an inn for the summer, I just looked and our personal cabins are close to there, so we'll stop there, drop off our stuff and then head up to the inn, sound good?" Everyone nodded to Kyoya's plan.

Of course I'm stuck between tweedle dee and tweedle dum.

"So y/n, whose cabin will you be staying in?" The twins asked simultaneously.

"Oh y/n, I hadn't even thought of that, you don't have a personal cabin, I'm sure one of us has a spare bed for you." Of course Kyoya had to recommend this.

I don't even want to be here.

"She can stay with us, we sleep in the same bed so she can use what's supposed to be Kaoru's bed.

"Ew."

"What was that y/n," Kyoya questioned.

"Nothing, I guess that works."

"Great," they both said simultaneously, hooking their arms in mine.

I hate my life.

~time skip~

After we had arrived to the inn, it was announced that there would be some stupid competition for the last room and the boys were getting really into it. In the end the twins won. By the time evening rolled around though, Kaoru insisted on walking me back to the cabin.

It was a long and awkward walk, we didn't talk and all that could be heard were the cicadas around us in the forest.

Once we did make it to the cabin, I realized that Kaoru still wasn't leaving my side.

"You know y/n," he was talking quietly, he leaned against the outside of the cabin and I stood right next to the door. "Hikaru really likes Haruhi."

I'm not surprised.

"Really?"

"Yeah, after everything that happened today, I think he knows he messed up, it's so obvious, how'd you not notice?"

"I don't know, just not that observant I guess."

That's bull shit.

"That's bs."

Welp, really gonna call me out like that Kaoru?

"What is?"

Really, I'm really about to play dumb right now?

"You're the most observant person I've ever-," he chuckled slightly, "you know what, it doesn't matter, I just thought I'd share."

"Hmm."

An incredibly cold breeze hit us hard, I shivered uncontrollably. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to keep you outside, here, I'll unlock it."

He walked to the door and struggled with the millions of keys he has. When his face was up close to me like this his features really showed through, it could've been that or the moon, either way, he looked beautiful. I guess, I don't know!

Once he had finally got it unlocked we stepped inside, I'd like to say instant warmth hit me, but that wasn't really the case, I guess the heat hadn't been run in this place in forever.

"When was the last time you and you're family stayed here?"

"Hmm, just this past winter, but we turn off the heating when we leave."

"Well that makes sense."

"Why, is it too cold for you?" He had begun walking up to where the heating was, "umm, a little, I'll last once I get in bed though, I might shower too."

"Yeah that's a good idea, you stink." He waved his hand in front of his scrunched up nose.

"Ha ha, you're so funny, as if you have room to talk."

He just shrugged, "well there's hot water so feel free to take the first shower."

The first shower? Is he going to stay here.

I thanked him and quickly took my shower, he lied though, I mean kind of. Yes, there was hot water, but not for long, it was warm-ish at first but got cold as hell half way through and it wouldn't warm up.

"That was the all time WORST shower ever, aren't you rich, shouldn't that have been-." I was cut off by the sight of Kaoru sleeping in, what was supposed to be my bed. He looked as though he was in the process of making it when he just collapsed. The thought of that being the case made me laugh a little.

He was in a perfect spot for me to still be able to sleep in that bed though, plus, it was the only bed that was made.

Whatever, we can share a bed right? Who am I kidding, he's a perv, buuut, it's a big bed.

I ended up deciding on sleeping in the queen sized bed that Kaoru was curled up on one side of.

I tucked him in and got under the covers myself, they were cold and my hair was wet which didn't help.

Stop shivering god dammit, you're going to wake him up.

That was NOT the case though, he ended up moving around a bit before cozying up to me. I was shocked at first but I just decided I'd let it be.

His head was resting next to my chest giving me a perfect angle to play with his hair. My fingers tangled through his long orange hair.

It's so long, and so soft, how is it so soft?

His arms were wrapped around my waist and his breathing was steady, I found myself dozing in and out of sleep, the warmth his body was giving me helping sleep take over.

As I began drifting off I swear I heard Kaoru tell me he loved me, but I was too tired, so tired.
