Author's POV
Kai woke up and started crying from of the previous events that were showcased in her dream.
Ellie, you didn't need to leave us, she thought. Tobi would be happier with you here. She stopped her train of thought when she heard her stomach growling of hunger.
Kaichi's POV
I quickly wiped my tears from my face and stood up, trying my best not to shake the bed so Tobi wouldn't wake up. Since the thought of Ellie could no longer leave my mind, I decided to make her favorite comfort food, cookies and cream cheesecake.
It was 2:39 am, but I was no longer tired. Thinking of Ellie naturally increased my energy, so I put on an apron and started grabbing all of the ingredients.

It was only a week before Ellie's death and the three of us were in her gigantic kitchen.
"One day, when I die, you'll make my favorite comfort food so you'd be reminded of-" she threw a handful of flour in the air, landing on our faces.
"The beautiful, radiant, Haiba Elodie." She started giggling at her sarcasm and me and Tobi joined along.
She handed out two handwritten notecards with the title Ellie's Homemade Cheesecake. They were beautifully decorated and the instructions were extremely detailed, so even Tobi couldn't mess up. Ellie suddenly clapped to pull our attention towards her.
"Lets start then, shall we?"

"-aiiiiiii"
"Kaiiiii"
My trip down memory lane was cut short by a forceful slap on the shoulder. "Yes, Tobi-chan?"
"Are you making Ellie's cheesecake?" he asked.
"Well duhhh," I replied.
"Well then-" he put on a spare apron and quickly washed his hands. "Let's get started."
He and I were both tasked by Ellie to memorize her recipe so we could make it without thinking about the measurements. Tobi poured the dry ingredients into the mixing bowl messily, some of which landed on my face.
"Tobi-chaaan," I whined as I wiped the flour off my face. "We're not trying to make a mess, it's 3 am right now."
Tobi put on a sarcastic smile. "Kai, what makes you think I'd do it on purpose?" He asked exaggeratedly.
"Whatever." I playfully rolled my eyes at him before I looked at the bowl, signaling him to start mixing. I then picked up a package of Oreos and started crushing them, turning them into little chunks and crumbs.
By the time I finished breaking the Oreos, Tobi finished mixing. I poured out 3/4 of the crushed Oreos into the bowl and he continued mixing the chunks inside. While he was folding in the ingredients, I pulled out a cake pan from a drawer. After I prepared the pan, I laid it down on the counter and Tobi started to pour the contents of the bowl inside.
"STOP!!" I shouted, making Tobi stop himself from pouring the filling. "You're going to spill everything, Tobi." I took away the bowl from his hands and started pouring it myself. Tobi was a klutz in the kitchen, even if he couldn't admit it.
Author's POV
When Kai finished pouring the contents into the pan, she gave the mixing spoon to Tobi. He gratefully accepted it and started licking the spoon. As he was eating the leftover filling, Kai noticed a bit of filling on his cheek. Unconsciously, she stuck her tongue out to lick the filling on Tobi, which disgusted both of them.
