fifteen.
THEY ALL WOKE UP, cold sweat trickling down their faces and heavy breaths escaping their lips. They were still in the relaxation center, lying down on the massage chairs.
"What was that?" Yeonjun asked himself, referring to the dream he had — or perhaps, the nightmare.
They all sat up and looked at each other.
"Was it just me or was that a really horrible nightmare," Hueningkai mumbled.
"Same..." Beomgyu piped up, shivering as he recalled what happened in the dream.
"Really weird," Yeonjun added, looking at the surroundings. "Don't tell me we all had the same dream?"
Soobin placed his feet on the floor and called for the staff. The small suction cups and wires were removed from their bodies and they could finally get up and go home.
They went out of the building and stretched their bodies, a sigh escaping their lips. The dream took its toll on them and they suddenly felt guilty for what happened before — the fights and the arguments.
"Man, that massage felt amazing," Beomgyu said as he turned to Yeonjun. Yeonjun looked back at Beomgyu before glancing at Soobin, feeling regretful for what he did before.
He walked over to Soobin. "Soobin, I thought about it a lot while we were inside and I want to say that...I'm sorry for what happened before. I-I was just pressured by their expectations and..."
"And?" Soobin raised a brow. "I was jealous of you. I'm sorry for all the times that I hurt you," Yeonjun finished.
Soobin looked at him, pondering for a moment. "No, I don't forgive you."
Yeonjun's expression dulled.
"I'm just kidding. You're forgiven." Soobin chuckled at his reaction. Yeonjun looked up at him with a smile. "Thank you, Soobin-ah!" He exclaimed as he slung his arm over Soobin's shoulders. "No problem," Soobin replied.
They looked over behind them and found Taehyun, Beomgyu, and Hueningkai also making up. Smiles lit up their faces as they realized that finally, their friendship will return to what it was like before.
But this time, it was genuine.
As they went their separate ways to go back to their houses, Soobin took out a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket and smiled to himself. It was a receipt.
"It actually worked." He sighed in relief. A flashback to when he was at the counter replayed in his mind.
----
"How may I help you, sir?"
"Um, how exactly does a dream service work?" Soobin asked.
"The dream service allows you to experience what you want your own dream to be. You can give us a detailed scenario and we'll play it in your dreams so you can experience it for yourself. We'll just attach a few wires to your body. It isn't as painful as it seems," The staff answered.
"Really? Does it work for five?"
"Yes, of course. You can even choose which part you will be lucid dreaming and—"
"I'll take it."
----
fast forward
The CEO sat in front of them and cleared his throat, looking at each of them in the eye.
"You five sure are early today," he commented. "Have you finally made up your mind?"
Soobin looked at the others for confirmation as they nodded in reply. He inhaled a deep breath and sat up straight.
"We want to name our future albums...the dream chapter."
The PD nodded, placing his fingers on his chin. "And the debut, what will it be about?"
"Friendship."
