°Yeji's POV

i still felt bad for him, but its for the best, i groaned and wake up preparing myself for school, ahh todays presentation is going to be hella akward, ever i dressed up i went to school using the bus

"Excuse me yeji?" A boy asled "Yes" I answered "I'm soobin, y/n's friend, he asked me to give this to you since he have a family emergency today" He said giving me the project and a flashdrive "Thanks" i smiled and took ut and nodded "Well im going to class" he said and waved at me

I went to class and did our presentation i explained that y/n has a family emergency and he couldn't join us today

"Yeddong, come on eat your food" Lia said when we were at lunch "Yeji unnie what happened" ryujin asked "He...he confessed to me" i said trying to hold back my tears but its no use i kept crying "I rejected him, i cant do it, i might break his heart" i kept crying burying my face in my hands , Lia rubbed my back and yeji hugged my side "Im sorry unnie, i shouldn't have made you do the bad"Ryujin said "But i could tell you really liked him what did you rejected him" Lia asked "If i accept him, what if he finds out about the bad, he will get mad at me" i said

"Then tell him the truth, im sure he'll understand" Lia said "Its not that easy Lia" i said, then the bell rings i told them to go ahead i'll just go to the toilet first to wash up

°y/n's pov

earlier that night

I'm still standing here at the end of the pier, tears rolling down thinking about what did i do wrong, suddenly my phone ringed and i prepared myself faking that i haven't been crying

"Hello"

"Hello y/n? This is dad"

"Yeah dad"

Weird why does he sound sad

"Dad what happened"

"Its your mom"

i quickly sprinted to the hospital, when i arrived there i see my dad waiting when he saw me he stood up and hugged me "What did they say" i asked him "Her heart rate suddenly dropped and they are checking on her right now" My dad explained, all we could do is wait and hope for the best

"Jang Yeonju" A doctor called but when we approach him the doctor his face doesn't seem so happy "Hows my wife doc" My dad asked

"I'm sorry we did everything we could" those words cut like a dagger, all of those years i spent with mom suddenly is gone, i didn't even got to say I Love You to her, i didn't even got to hug her

"You may say your goodbyes" the doctor said i hugged my dad and we went in together, when we do we knelt right beside her bed, seeing her gorgeous for the last time

"Mom i missed you mom, i miss you, we miss you, i miss everytime you checked in me at random nights, i miss it mom, i miss your presence" I cried right then and there

i hope she is in a better place, after dad got said his goodbyes we hugged her and said goodbye and leave, the car ride there was silent neither of us said anything

when we arrived home i noticed me and yeji's project, i grabbed them and texted soobin if he was home and luckily he is "Dad im going to my friends house to send something" i said and he nodded i pick up the projects and flash drive and head to soobin's house, when im there i knocked on his door and waited

"Whats u...... y/n what happened" his expression turned soft, I didn't say anything and just let my tears roll down, he hugged me and rubbed my back, i said to him that my mother died and the yeji situation and he listened to him after i calmed down a bit i gave him the project "Can you give this to Yeji, and told her i have a family emergency or something" i said and he nodded

"Hey mann, im sure it'll get brighter ahead, and im sorry for your loss" he said "Thank you, ill get going, ill see you when i go to school" i said and he nodded we did our handshake and i leave his house

i need to clear my head somewhere
