"This is the best school for her, I can promise you that," the principal said to my parents.
"Okay, but are you sure there are no bullies?" my mom asked for the umpteenth time.
"I can promise you that there are no such things as bullies in my school" the principal replied intensely. I get the feeling that he is already irritated by my mom's constant asking of the same question. He seems to be so certain that there are absolutely no bullies in his school, he's even promising. It's too bad some promises are made to be broken.
"Are you sure..."
"It's okay mum, I want to attend this school," I said cutting her midway. I think I did the principal a favor because he looked like he was going to lose it if she asked him again.
"Okay, she will attend your school," my dad said speaking up for the first time.
"School starts tomorrow to be sure to be there," the principal said smiling.
"I know" I muttered under my breath
"Okay," I said aloud giving the principal a sickeningly sweet smile."Okay, we will be leaving "my dad as he got up and walked towards the door without waiting for the principal to acknowledge what he said with my mom trailing behind him. I gave the principal a wave as I followed my parents out the door.
Tomorrow was going to be a fresh start.************************************
"I'm here to collect my schedule, ma," I told the receptionist.
"Hold on just a second" she grunted as she continued typing on her computer. I glared at her as I adjusted the strap of my bag on my shoulder and then proceeded to tap my foot on the ground, just to spite her. After what felt like hours, she looked up and glared at me. Bingo! Now she knows how irritated I feel. I internally smirked as she gets up and walked towards another set of computers at the other end of the room "What's your name?" she asked looking at me irritated.
"Angel Coleman" I replied adding a smile for a bonus.
"Wait there darling," she said giving me a sweetening sick smile and pointed towards a set of chairs and which I went towards and sat down.
"Here is your schedule," she said handing me a piece of paper after a few minutes had passed.
"Thanks" I replied grabbing the paper from her hand and walking out. I glanced at the paper as I strolled through the hallways. My first class was Chemistry.
"Why chemistry?! I hate chemistry! Why did my parents have to sign me up for chemistry?! Ugh!! When I get home I'm so gonna yell at mom" I thought to myself as I walked to my classroom. Luckily, it was quite easy to find. I took in a deep breath and opened the door. As I entered, the whole class turned to look at me.
"You are?" the teacher asked me raising an eyebrow.
"I'm a new student" I replied.
"I'm Mrs. Weatherbee. So why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" she said smiling.
"My name is Angel Coleman," I said looking at the woman.
"You were supposed to look at the class dear, but it doesn't matter. Go sit with Mister Warren" she said pointing towards a seat in the back row. I looked at who she was pointing at and saw a boy looking at Mrs. Weatherbee with a glare. I mean if eyes could kill I'm sure she would have died that instant "I mean, go sit with Miss Adam over there" she sheepishly and pointed in another direction. I rolled my eyes and went to sit with Miss Adam. She is very pretty, blue-eyed and Raven hair with was plaited backward and she is wearing glasses too big for her.
