When I got home, Mom is waiting for me in the living room and I know she will just ask about Kate. My Mom knows about how I play girls and she's not happy about it.
“Hey Sean.” she greeted.
I smiled. “Hi mom.” I said and took a step.
“Not so fast. Tell me about her.” she demanded.Damn it.
“Mom she's just like any other girls to me.”
“I don't thinks so. I know that you're a player sweetheart and I'm never proud of it. But you can't fool your Mother. You like her?”
I sighed. “ Mom it's not like that.”
“She's the first girl to ever ride ur motorcycle, the first girl to ever step into our house, the first girl to ever to step into ur room. Hmmmm....second to me of course... and I found this.” she lifts up my Jordan shirt with Cate's name and number.Chicken shit.
“You never let anyone mess with your clothes.” she continued.
I gave in. “ayt. Mom I like her and earlier I think I'm falling in love with her. But I don't have a nerve to tell her. Imma Gansgta Mom.”
My mom laughs and hugs me. “ Oh sweetie I'm so proud. I guess you can tell her in your Gangster way.”
“Thanks Mom. I'm going inside my room look for something to wear. I thinks I'm gon' confess her tonight.”
“Good luck baby.” she said. I enter my room and Lay on the bed thinking of what to say to Cate. If say that I love her, will she love me back? I hope.
