------"Do not send the SWAT team, I will negotiate with him! I REPEAT DO NOT SEND THE SWAT TEAM!!" Ha Chae Yoon yelled before saying her last words and throwing her radio on the floor, "Over and out!"
How relieved Chae Yoon was when she realized Tae Gu wasn't in that hideout that they bombed in Thailand.
He was a man entangled with the evil ways of this world, but she can see through him. She wanted to save him. Maybe it was her messiah complex talking, but she knows that this strong, powerful man— although sinful to an extent— needed saving.
That was the last that the Situation Room heard of police inspector Ha Chae Yoon before the SWAT team was halted by the instruction of the Presidential Secretary for National Security.
Meanwhile, Tae Gu and his men reached the location of the men responsible for his sister's death. Several guards fell unconscious as it rained bullets in the room. One bullet found its way into Min Tae Gu's chest, but he was wearing a bulletproof vest. Still, the impact hurt, slowing him down. He pushed through, it was not his first time being shot at anyway.
The men in the room were frightened to see him alive, when minutes ago they were just celebrating his death as seen in the gigantic screen in front of them. He grabbed a chair and sat in front of them. He took out the detonator from his pocket, taunting them with what they decided to sentence his sister with: death.
Chae Yoon ascended the building using the stairs. Her breath were short and unequal when she caught a sight of him.
"Min Tae Gu, can we be forgiven?" the high ranking official's voice was filled with fear.
"I don't know. Ask Hyun Ju." He took the detonator to his hand once again, "Let's go and ask her together."
Suddenly, everyone heard the door open.
"Why are you here?" One of Tae-Gu's men asked as he pulled his gun at her. Acting on instinct, Tae-Gu drew his own gun and pointed it at Chae Yoon.
One short look on her face and he decided to spare her life. He nodded at his men to lower their gun as he did the same. "Go, if you don't want to die."
"I know why you called for me. Min Hyun Ju, your sister.. I let her die. I am sorry."
Tae Gu's ears rang. He was furious when he heard her say his sister's name.
"Take these fucking men out of my sight." he told the men he brought with him. Instantly, the men were brought to the next room where they were tied.
Min Tae Gu and Ha Chae Yoon were left in the room.
He was angry because the police inspector took the blame for herself, when the power-hungry and corrupt men that truly killed her sister were listening. He was angry because for him, he was the root of everything that led to the eventual death of her sister.
Chae Yoon was now musing some inspirational words that he didn't listen to. However, when she said that she can help him bring out the truth and give justice to her sister's death, he saw a glimmer of hope, but faded as fast as it showed itself.
