From both sides came a black figure, encasing Leo. The blinding light from the tree was cut out and he was enclosed in darkness. The ground shook, 'the tree must have hit the ground,' he thought. He put his hand out, from the darkness he could feel something cold, it was surrounding him. He scrapped at it and realized it was dirt. Suddenly an opening appeared in the wall and light invaded the sphere. He squinted and crawled from the cubby.

Planted on the ground in front of Leo stood a pair of feet. He followed them up to the persons face. It was a girl. She stuck out her hand. Leo studied her palm, it was covered in dirt. He watched her.

" Well aren't you gunna get up?" She asked, waiting impatiently. Leo grabbed her hand and stood.

" Who are you?" Leo asked, his voice cracking.

"How about a thank you, kinda just saved your life." The girl said, a little annoyed. " Um thank you, but how do you think you saved me?" The girl looked Leo up and down, he looked at himself. He was wearing a pair of grey jeans, a sweater with those weird headphone strings, an eagle on the front, and a pair of black converse. He looked up to see her smirking. " You're not from around here are you?"

" No, and what exactly is around here?" Leo asked, hoping for an explanation about the odd surroundings. The girl walked past him to the fallen tree behind.

" It's a shame it had to die. It was a beautiful tree." she said. Leo turned around, she was feeling a leaf. The leaf, however, was dark brown. "The name's Camilla by the way." " Oh, OK." She spun on her heel.

"Oh, OK? Your s-posed to say my name is...," she said while motioning to Leo. "You want to know my name?"

" Oh of course not, that would be silly," she said sarcastically. Leo locked onto her brown eyes, they had a glint in them, as if she was enjoying herself.

"my name's Leo, Leo Gala." "Well Leo, come with me to my house for the night, my parents won't mind. And if I were you I wouldn't say no, people like you shouldn't be out when it's dark," she said with a smirk.

Camilla walked to where the pond was and Leo followed wondering where she going. Leo turned around, a quizzical look on his face .

" Um, Camilla. Where did the pond go that was here?" Leo asked confused. Camilla turned to him and gave him a look like he must have been stupid. " There has never been a pond here, did you hit your head or sometin?" " I could've sworn there was one." " Well there isn't, now lets go you dummy."

Camilla started off and Leo followed a few paces behind. He watched her long shirt flow back and forth as she walked. The shirt was plain with ruffles at the bottom like a flower. It was a beautiful snowy white. He was amazed that it was so clean. Her pants which were navy blue jeans, however, were plastered in dry mud. "done checking me out Leo?" Leo whipped his head meeting Camilla's brown eyes. Leo blushed and turned his head. She giggled and turned back around. Leo's face burned from embarrassment. He forced his eyes to the back of her head. That was when he noticed her dark brown hair with golden highlights. Leo walked up beside Camilla.

"So how much farther until we get to your house," He asked looking at trees around him. "Five minutes?" she replied.

"Do you dye your hair," Leo asked, curious. "what's dye?" "How do you not know what dye is?" "Well lets just say that you are from a different place then I am." "What do you mean different?"

She turned her head to him, "We will explain later, but what's dye?"

'We? Who's we?' Leo thought.' Oh her parents, duh.'

"Well dye is like this stuff you put in your hair, to change its color," Leo explained. Camilla looked at me, confusion written on her face. "That's stupid why in the world would someone want to do that to their hair?" "Well, actually alot-" Camilla cut me off.
