Chapter 6: not my day

Gabes pov

(This takes place the day after the movie night)

I awake to a restless mass next to me. I had completely forgotten I fell asleep in Quinn's room last night. I had my arms firmly wrapped around her as she faced me, she didn't seem to mind but she was moving quite a bit. I decided to retract my arms to see what the problem was, she soon turned over before I could wake her and I realized what the source of the problem was, she had started her period. I had no idea what to do but, I put my best effort into getting out of bed without waking her up. I decided to go to her bathroom and make her a warm bath before going back into her room and quietly choosing some comfortable clothes and underwear for her. I didn't feel uncomfortable doing this because I knew she would appreciate it in the long run. I placed the clothes on the sink counter and shut off the tub. I walked back into the room and calmly went to go wake Quinn up.

"Hey Quinny," I said softly shaking her awake.

Her beautiful face contorted into one of pain and shock.

"Did I... start?" she asked looking embarrassed.

"Yes but, there's no need to be embarrassed I made you a bath and picked you out some clothes, I'll wash your sheets and clothes while you take your bath, okay?"

She nodded still looking embarrassed and got out of bed walking to the bathroom. 

Quinns pov

I was overcome with a lot of embarrassment from my current situation. My period tracker app didn't inform me that my period was coming so I had no idea. But it just HAD to come while I finally get to cuddle with my childhood crush. 

I stripped of my clothes and handed them off to gabe through a half opened door quicky closing it after. I stepped into the bath that was at the perfect temperature for relaxing. I thought about bringing my phone but I preferred to be unplugged from my socials rather than be hooked on it. I preferred to use my relaxation time for thinking, besides the people in the house are the only people I talk to anyways so if I really needed them i'd just walk to their room rather than calling them. 

I started to think about Gabe, he didn't have to do this but he did it anyways. He could have gotten mad at me like Jeremy and looked at me repulsed but, he didn't... He looked at me with caring and concerned eyes. I'm really not used to this kind of care because Jermey treated me so poorly and I justed delt with it thinking he would change. I knew Gabe cared for me before this but now I'm sure of it.

Gabes Pov

I had just put Quinns sheets and clothes in the washer when I finally stretched and went to the kitchen to make coffee. I looked at the time on the oven clock and it read 8:00 am, like clockwork Nathan came out of his room stretching and yawning. I never knew how he could wake up so early, I've learned from our extremely long friendship that he is defiantly a morning person.

"Hey man, Im going to stay here with Quinn and skip the video because she started her period today and I wanna be here to take care of her." I said starting the coffee machine.

"Yeah that's fine I'm sure she doesn't wanna be alone, thank you for taking care of my sister man." Nathan said.

I nodded and tried to hide the fact that Nathans words meant a lot to me. I couldn't help but smile though but, I don't think that he noticed because he was on his phone. I eagerly watched the coffee machine drip until it beeped signaling that it was done. I poured me and Quinn some coffee and slowly made my way upstairs to her room.
