[Harry’s POV]

Milana’s eyebrows furrowed, but since she didn’t yell at me, I just thought, she was confused by the situation.

Eventually she remembered the night, where she left me all alone in the darkness. I can’t blame her; I wasn’t always the nicest friend to her. There were days where I kicked her out of my car because she was going on my nerves. I was never able to control my feelings and emotions. It’s complicated.

When we were younger, she always annoyed me, no matter what. She never did what I told her to do. One of the reasons why I had to leave. I couldn’t stand her. Wherever I went, she ran after me. No matter how many times I broke her heart. She’d still care for me and love me. I’m like a bad filthy habit and she can’t break it.

“I’m sorry”, she broke the silence.

She crossed her arms in front of her chest and frowned, giving me a gloomy look.

“I know you are.”, I sighed and looked past her, seeing Kristian sitting on the bed, who just wanted to leave the room immediately to avoid any further awkward tension.

His knee was bouncing up and down, making me nervous.

“You should leave”, Milana requested.

If there was a thing, in which she was a master in, it would be demanding people to leave and kicking them out of her apartment.

I pretended like that these words didn’t influence me, even though they did.

I started making my way to the door as I gestured a hand move to Kristian, so we could leave together.

I pressed down the door handle and made a step into the corridor, as I felt a shiver run down my spine. I can’t leave her. It felt so wrong, but it also would be weird staying with her.

I immediately made my way to the elevator and pressed the button.
I heard Kristian walking behind me, and the door slowly opened, and we stepped inside.

“Damn, that was awkward. You guys didn’t even say bye.”, he shot and clenched his jaw.

“Says the one who sat there like a coward.”, I replied.

“Heh. I bet she won’t touch the food I bought her.”, he groaned.

“You seriously did?”, I gasped as my eyes widened as we stepped out of the elevator and headed towards my car which was on the other side of street.

“Uhm yeah. Why do you sound so surprised?”, Kristian mumbled.

“Where have I been? Kristian buying and wasting his money for others?”, I replied.

“Oh, come on”, he playfully slapped my shoulder and added “You know, I had to work my ass off for a few pounds.”

It was much noise going around here in the big city, as I noticed a car driving high speed.

“Hey, watch out!”, I hissed as I reached after his hand and pulled him towards me.

The car caused a collusion with another one, the both vehicles drove into each other, which made the tires screech. Kristian almost got hit for fuck’s sake.

“Are you okay?”, I asked him in a worried tone. His eyelids were shut, and I felt his heart pounding fast.

“I-I don’t think so.”, he stuttered and his lip trembling.

Kristian shifted himself up and wiping the dirt off his clothes.

“Woah woah. Slow down there lad. Let me help you.”, I demanded.

I offered him my support and we slowly walked to the car.

“I think I can go on my own.”, he whined.

“No, I will bring you home. Get in.”, I said timidly as I opened the door for him.

“You were right. I really am a coward. I don’t want to make a big deal out of this.”, he replied in a low voice.

In the corner of my eye I caught a tear racing down his blushed cheeks.

“Kristian, it’s okay.”, I grinned, and a weak smile appeared on his rosy lips.

Wait what am I talking about?

“Thank you mate”, he acknowledged.

“Buckle your seatbelt, please. We don’t want more accidents”, I snickered, shooting him a warm glance.

“Didn’t know you were so cautious. What happened to the hold Haz?”, he asked.

“Guess he really died that night”, I gulped.

Kristian nodded and rested his head on the window. I started the engine up and remembered the last time I’ve been to Kristian’s house was ages ago. I’m not even sure if I knew where he lived.

“Not for me though”, he wailed out of the blue.

I didn’t reply. Kristian was still the same charming and generous person. He never had luck with relationships and his dates. Women always mistrusted his loyalty.

Now he is working in a coffee shop around the corner, where he is washing the dishes, nothing more.

Kristian would always complain about his boss, because he never paid him on the right time. I still can’t believe he didn’t look for a different job in these years.
