Two years later
Nora
"Bae, hurry up. Agh, you always take so long." I say overly dramatic. I poke my head through the hole in the wall that Kai as still not fix. He somehow over the years made it bigger.I can't complain though. I get to see Kai so.
"I'm coming! Aye ya aye. If I didn't love you, I would so leave you and date Phoebe." He comes to the wall dressed in black pants and no shirt.
"Ha ha ha, so funny. Good news is you can't get rid of me that easily." I step through the wall and place my hands around his neck.
"Mmh." Is his only response as he takes in my outfit. I'm wearing a navy blue dress that stops mid-thigh. It's off the shoulders with a low neck cut.
"Eyes up here, big boy." I lean up to kiss him. A lot has changed since that night two years ago. I woke up on the couch with him beside me. He looked really cute while sleeping, still does to be honest. After that we got really close. He took me out on a few dates here and there, we kiss, he ask me to be his girlfriend, I said yes, and so on and so forth. It was really sweet. Sure we still had the whole assassin thing going on, but hey, who cares.
Tonight Kai has planed a date night for us, but won't tell me anything. Yet he isn't even ready. Boys!
Kai breaks the kiss and looks at me.
"Are you sure you don't want to just stay here and have a movie night?" I ask him.
"No, that would be a waste of the surprise. Let me finish and then we can go." He gives me one last kiss before letting me go. He walks towards his closet while I head back to my room. I swear if the landlord saw the hole he would flip.
I go to the kitchen to grab me a water cause you know, I'm thirsty. By then Kai's already done.
"Knock. Knock."
I answer the door to Kai already to go.
"Don't you clean up nice." I eye him up and down.
"I could say the same for you, but you where a dress almost everyday so." He flashes me a cocky smile.
"Ha, ha. Your so funny," I take his extended arm and walk down the hallway, "so, where are we going?"
"I will not tell you no matter how much you ask."
"Ugh, please? I don't like surprises. If this is some assassination attempt, just know that I packed a few knifes." He laughs while shaking his head cause he knows it's true. I don't go anywhere without at least two knifes. Right now I have one in my purse and two strapped to my thighs.
After we exit the building a limo is waiting for us.
"Kai! You rented a limo?"
"Yeah." This time his smile is a shy one. I lean up and give me a quick kiss.
"Thank you." Kai opens the door for me then climbs through after.
The car ride was only 20 minutes but it felt shorter. We talked the whole ride.
Outside of the limo I see that the restaurant is the one he took me to on our first date. This time it's me who smiles. We walk inside and it's empty. We are the only people in the entire building. My mouth hangs open as a waiter walks up.
"Welcome, we have everything as you'd wish."
"Thank you," the waiters leads us to a table in the middle, " if you keep your mouth open much longer, you might catch a fly." I quickly shut my mouth and except the chair Kai has pulled out for me.
The waiter from before the brings some red wine and glasses to us.
"Starting a little early are we." I say while taking a sip of my wine. Kai just shakes his head. I look around to see the restaurant is beautifully decorated with roses, and candles. I look back at the table to find Kai looking at me.
"You really are beautiful." I blush at his comment even though I here it everyday.
A different waiter then comes with our steaks and a salad. We each get one steak and some salad.
"This is all very fancy." I say suspicious. He is planing something I know it. What is it, is the question. He gives me a wolfish smile and continues eating.
After dinner Kai, takes us on a walk down the beach. We walk a little then Kai turns and we are in a cove. There's a little blanket set up with some candles.
"Okay, what's up with you. Your being all romantic." I squint my eyes at him hoping he would tell me but all he does it smile wider.
"Ugh, your not going to tell me are you."
"Nope." He pops the p like some teenage girl. I roll my eyes and sit down. I look over my shoulder to see Kai stilling standing.
" aren't you going sit down?" I question him. But instead of responding he walks in front of me and reaches his hand out. I take it confused at his odd behavior. Once I'm standing he kneels on one knee.
"Nora," he starts while pulling something from his jacket pocket, " I love you so much. Every time we go on a mission I'm scared I'm going to lose you..."
"Kai, I'm not good to die on a mission. I'm the best assassin there is." I flip my hair over a shoulder at the end.
"I know but still it scares me that we might both will go in but only one will walk out. Nora, you are the most beautiful, amazing, smartest, toughest, scariest girl I have ever met and it would do me the honor if you would be my wife." He flips open the box to show a gold ring with a blood red ruby. I stand there just staring at him. After a moment I collect myself enough to say, "yes! Yes, I will marry you." He smiles and puts the ring on my finger. He stands up and picks me up, spinning me around. He sets me down and kisses me. We stay like that for a while me in his arms, mine intertwined around his neck and just kissing each other with such passion.
After a while we break up out of breath and glance into each other's eyes. Then out of nowhere he picks me up bridal style and marches across the beach.
"She said yes!" He yells. I turn my head to see why when I catch sight of our best friends. There Phoebe, Thea, Reese, Max, Cole, and Alex. They start cheering and Kai places me down.
We party till the sun comes up and it's the best. I may be an assassin but I love my life. I have the best friends anyone could have, I have the best fiancé, and even though I don't even know him that well I have the best dad. I love my life.
Kai pulls me away for a second.
"I love you." I look at him and I know he means it so I say the next part with all my heart. I say it with one more word.
"I love you, Cabbage."
