I began walking through the grand entrance of the newly opened mall at our place, I couldn't help but wonder at the sophisticated, futuristic architecture that surrounded me.

So, this is what it looks like?

The drone of excitement filled the air, and it was no wonder why. The founder of this magnificent establishment was none other than a renowned scientist named Michael Ybañez, whose groundbreaking discoveries had revolutionized our world.

His contributions to advanced technology, the establishment of new scientific laws, and the expansion of knowledge had made him a household name.

However, during excitement and wonder, there was a lingering personal thought that crossed my head. Despite the advancements, the knowledge gained, and the ever-growing population of nearly 9 billion people on Earth—I found myself still single.

It was a feeling that occasionally weighed on me, especially in moments of solitude walking alone around like this.

It might sound pathetic, but yes—I’ve been single all my life.

It appeared as though I was just another shopper, browsing the racks and perusing the store displays. But deep down, I held a secret agenda.

I’m not here for the usual retail therapy—I have a schedule to meet up with my destiny.

I had recently connected with a woman online. Our conversations had been filled with laughter, shared interests about technology, and a growing sense of connection. The virtual world had brought us together, but now it was time to take that leap of meeting her.

She told me to await her presence near the lobby at exactly 10 o’clock in the morning.

With each passing minute, my heart beat a little faster.

I checked my watch, hoping to catch a glimpse of her familiar face once I looked back at my front view. My anticipation grew, mingled with a hint of nervousness.

Would she recognize me? Would our connection translate from our virtual interactions to the real world?

I can’t help but be in a tense situation, even though she’s not here yet.

“Samuel?”

A soft, melodic voice called out my name.

The sound of her alluring voice sent a shiver down my spine, and I turned around to find her standing near a flower bed with metallic benches near it.

Her presence was like a ray of sunlight illuminating the inside of the mall with her beauty. She stood before me, wearing a cute one-piece dress that highlighted her every curve, and her straight, silky black hair cascaded down her shoulders, framing her face like a delicate photo.

“Y-Yes, present!” I answered back, sounding like a student while a teacher was having an attendance.

Still taken aback by her stunning appearance, a delightful sound reached my ears when I answered her.

It was her laugh, a sweet and infectious melody that instantly brought a smile to my face.

I found myself instinctively covering my mouth with my right hand. I couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed, wanting to appreciate the moment privately, yet unable to hide the genuine joy that her laughter had brought.
