Danarya's P.O.V.

The dawn had barely started to filter into my window when the horns of Gondor echoed throughout the kingdom. War was upon us. I sat up out of my bed, still in my armor.

The tight halls of the kingdom were hectic and packed full as the women and children tried to get to safety. "Make room for the Rider! Make room!" I heard a voice behind me call out before Boromir grabbed a hold of my arm. "Let's get you to that dragon."

I let him pull me through the winding hallways until we made our way to the courtyard where Riatis waited for me. Before I could pull myself up into the saddle, Boromir pulled me into him, our armor clanking together. He looked in my eyes as I looked into his. "Be safe up there Danarya. We don't know what lurks in the shadows." Boromir said before placing a wet kiss upon my lips. "I'll be waiting for you when all of this is over." He said before running towards the keep.

I was in shock as I climbed up into the saddle of my dragon. What was that about? Riatis asked as he lifted both of us off of the ground and into the air. "I don't know, but I didn't like it. Have you heard anything from Sapha yet?" I asked. Before he could answer, the cries of dragons filled the air around us and a glowing white and golden dragon came into view along with a black and silver one. "Easthaven answered! Maybe we can win this after all!" I yelled out as we flew towards Kivrei and Dantis.

Dantis looked like a King in his golden armor, atop his magnificent dragon. "Listen Dany, before you say anything, I'm really sorry for before. You are a highborn of Easthaven, our people will always be here to protect you. Now, let's just try to not die today, okay?" I nodded my head towards my brother. "I want Zestari to ride Sapha. Aunt Salaera won't be able to fight to her full extent if Zestari isn't safe." I said. He nodded his head before looking towards Sapha. "Being the King of Easthaven has its perks." He said as he told Sapha to land in the courtyard. "I'll see you on the other side, brother." I said as Riatis and I flew off into battle.

Mahina's P.O.V.

There are three dragons, m'lord. One of which is an alpha. I said to the Dark Lord as I waited in the shadows for his commands. Send in the rest of your armies, I will take care of the dragons and their riders. He said.

I took out a horn and played the dark tunes of war. Creatures of pure evil began to crawl out of the darkness and onto the field of battle. Cries of Nazgul and their Fellbeasts could be heard in the land of Mordor. A red dawn was rising as they flew over the valley of death and to the dragons, creating a fiery blood bath from above.

I felt no fear as I walked into the valley of death. Evil on either side of me and the screams of Fellbeasts above me. I felt invincible. My hair blew back in the breeze as I pulled my swords from their sheaths, ready for whatever came my way.

The child had mustered up a great army, but the army of the Dark Lord was bigger. The white city would fall before midday.

Boromir's P.O.V.

"Have you told the girl yet?" My father asked as he sat down to a large meal. There was a war waging all around him and all that he could think about was making Danarya marry me. "No. And I'm not going to. I would rather her live a free life than be miserable by my side." I said to him as I stood at the other end of his table. I could see that he was furious with my decision. "Go. Get out of my company. You're no longer my son. I don't want to see you here again." With that he waved his hand and the guards seized me, dragging me out of his room and into the hall of the kingdom.

I wondered if I had made the right decision for myself and Danarya. I know that she would think that I did, but I really did like her. "Come on now. All able bodied men must go out and fight the war." One of the guards said as they escorted me out of the kingdom and into the death ridden valley.
