THE NEAREST clothing store opened bright and early at 8am, the worker looking to the teenagers confused as Marty and Amanda rushed inside. Seeing him stare her down in confusion had her look down at the torn denim shorts she'd paired with a Mötley Crüe band tee that was still covered in holes from a tragic trip through the washing machine from her dad. Leaning down to whisper into her ear out of seeing the bewilderment of the crew member in her choice of appearance, Marty smiled to himself. "And here I thought you'd prepare yourself already."
Sighing deeply to grab a skirt and cardigan she could throw over the outfit she already had, she looked to Marty amused. "Albeit I thought the only person I'd be having to impress was you." He raised his brow to her over this to have her not help to laugh at the sight of his ego slowly being inflated from the comment. "Which is why there is little to no effort in my appearance, don't get so full of yourself."
Rolling his eyes jokingly, he then fixated his attention onto a leather jacket at the corner of the store as he was the last to pick something out. Noticing the way it was coincidentally placed nearby a black fedora and dark shades a lightbulb suddenly went off over the reference he could make out of his outfit. He grinned to the ensemble with pure excitement over the costume that he imagined in his head. "It's only a fitting tribute!" He exclaimed childishly to Amanda now trying to stifle her laughter.
Remembering as he tried on the pairing to look like a Dollar Store Blues Brother had her recall the last time they were in 1955 at the enchantment under the sea dance. Thinking for a moment at what he told her then had her look to the Marty before her curiously. "Hey blue?" He turned up to the innocent nickname with a smile. "Did Doc tell you? About what happened in the future?"
Marty tilted his head to her over the suggestion. "You mean why Doc had you fall asleep?" She nodded as he tried to hide away his discomfort as best he could. Considering the they knew the other like the back of their hand, this didn't prove to be convincing enough. "Oh— not really much of anything. He said it was just some mistake when you were helping him out."
Not believing him had Amanda realize he'd found out one way or another about what happened to the two of them in the future. That they were fated to be strangers without ever thinking it could be possible. "You know it's not me and you in the end, don't you?"
He sighed to lean against the rack to look to her as he attempted to not let it bother him. "I do."
Amanda frowned over his tone of voice when he said this, even though she knew at some point it was bound to be brought up.Out of his own tendency to be optimistic, he didn't believe for a second that there wasn't a way they could change it somehow. That instead of making a mistake and changing time as he'd done on accident, Marty could somehow have some influence on spending it with the only person he naively thought he'd always be with. "I don't think that'll happen though, not really."
Amanda wanted to believe him, but knew the only way it'd be changed was for him to avoid getting into that accident. He couldn't know this, but she could which would hopefully fix all of it. "If it makes it any worse, Bobby ages gracefully," She teased in an attempt to not let the situation between them get out of hand.
He raised a finger to her before leaving over to kiss her cheeks to send a giggle out of her over the soft touch. "Pushing it, doe eyes."
Taking the accessories from him to carry them over to the counter she shook her head to him. "How'd you even find out?"
"I heard some kids at the Café talking about seeing Bobby's wife Amanda Callisto on the way there for the concert being hosted. Wasn't hard to put it together after what Doc did to avoid the situation, I'm sure." She only smiled, noticing him look down in thought as she paid.
Beside Amanda not being in his future, Marty wondered what else was destined for him 30 years from now. If all the work he'd put in to changing the his life into being that of a success was even worth it. He could make being a rockstar a joke, but that was supposed to be his career. To be able to get out of Hill Valley instead of being locked into the town with no way out just like most of the people that lived there.
Seeing as she seemed to have more answers than him, more than usual at least, he wondered if there was something else she was hiding. "Do you know more?"
Turning back to him confused as Amanda held the bags in her hands as she watched him rub the back of his neck nervously. "Blue, I hate to agree with Doc on this one, but you shouldn't be knowing so much about your future."
"Then mine is worse." Being taken aback by his sudden frustration over this, Marty sighed under his breath apologetically as he vented to her. "You get out of Hill Valley and probably do all these great things. I wouldn't expect anything else from Amanda Callisto."
"Marty, you can't do that." He still continued this way as she leaned forward to cup his cheek sympathetically in order to bring him out of whatever dark place he was falling into. "I don't think that the future is set in stone. If anything, the events of the today prove that it can be changed rather easily. You're destined for a good life, I just know it."
He leaned into her touch for and shut his eyes to smile in content. "As long as you're there, I could care less about it."
She smiled as he took her hand to kiss it tenderly. "Even if you're not a rich rockstar?"
Rolling his eyes over this, he lifted her up to sneak a quick kiss. "Well when you mention that—" She shoved him for the joke, kissing him again before tugging on his hand. "Right, lead the way, captain."

RECALLING FOR A MOMENT as Marty continued to look through the phone books for Biff's name, Amanda remembered what the two of them were doing this morning before the dance. Seeing that this would also save them some time in the long run looking for his house, she thought it best to mention it to Marty. "I know where Biff is gonna be."
He looked to her confused by this as she nodded to herself when remembering the exchange. "Today, well, yesterday-" Amanda confused herself on best to phrase the time scheme of things with Marty laughed at her struggles. "When I left to meet Lorraine at the dress shop, Biff was there. He was being a huge asshole as usual, but he was there bragging about getting his car fixed. That must be where the old Biff goes to grab him."
Marty nodded, shutting the book. "Kinda understand why Doc puts you in charge now."
She winked to him over this with a skip her steps as they turned over to the café doors. Noticing another pair of teenagers that were, in fact, them before successfully going back to 1985, both widened their eyes over the severity of this. Amanda shoved Marty into a booth to sit beside him. He looked to her confused as she eyed the other versions of them taking seats on the other side. "What are we gonna do?"
"Don't exactly have a book on this sort of thing, blue."
Marty nodded, suddenly nudging her out again despite her acting unwilling to do so. "I'll put my arm around you to seem like an annoying couple that does a lot of PDA, no on will bother us. Should be fine," He suggested. Nodding in agreement, she stepped out to have him drape an arm over her as he tilted his fedora down for them to be unable to see his face with Amanda holding onto him close to hide hers.
Walking through the café towards the dress shop, Marty still had his arm around her. "We've left you know."
"What act do you think we're playing, we're already the annoying couple. C'mon Amanda, catch up," He teased her as she shoved him over this for the two of them to wait for the older Biff to arrive.
