As scared as I was, I had no intention of backing down. Although they were all laughing at me for trying to defend the boy they were bullying, I payed no attention to it.

"Just what did he do for you to bully him?"

By the time he had mention those words, everything went silent. I sighed before scratching my head.

"I'm not really sure what you mean by that,"

"Oh well then to make it simpler for you to understand, you rats are all ugly and weird. You creep us out,"

"Is that so?"

"Pff, why do you think we bea-"

"Hey, let me ask you one thing. Why do you think rats are hated?" They all laughed.

"Because they're dirty and ugly, of course."

"Then answer me, for the sake of me who cannot see," I took a step forward.

He finally let's me go making me loose my balance. Footsteps were slowly heard as they purposely bump into my shoulder.

I sighed in relief.

"Hey," My face heats up by the sound of his voice.
