My eyes slowly fluttered open as the soft blinding lights came in sight. I scrunched my eyes in discomfort before sitting up, now realizing that I didn't know where I was.

"Oh, you're up?" A soft voice rings out.

Ah, him.

"Yea, thanks again for earlier,"

"It's nothing," He says before slowly approaching my bed.

Well, this is awkward.

I fidgeted around, not really liking the awkward silence. He taps my forehead gently with the back of his hand, instantly stopping my fidgeting.

"Your temperature seems pretty high,"

"Ah, that's because my body temperature is usually very hi–" Before I could finish my sentence, he leans towards my face, placing his forehead against mine.

In a brief moment I could feel my face warming up, due to our close proximity. I could basically see every inch of his face, our lips just centimetres away.

I quickly pulled back and cleared my throat.

"I think your temperature spiked up,"

THAT'S BECAUSE–

"Like I said, my body temperature is usually very high even if I don't have a fever,"

"Is that so? Well, you should at least stay for the night. You should get some rest,"

"Uh, I think I'm fine for now," I said.

"Are you sure? My parents said that it would be best for you to rest for the night," I tried standing up but my legs felt numb and weak.

Shit.

I sighed before agreeing to stay for the night. I contacted my uncle and told him everything. He agreed.

Ugh, I hope this doesn't happen again.
