23. Morning surprises

"Okay Bethany!! since you've fully recovered I will introduce you to my disciples"

It was Harley's cheerful voice that came early in the morning, waking the poor girl up from her sleep. Since Bethany confirmed that there was no one dangerous around here yet, she decided to tell them her body has already recovered. And now she is regretting it.

With her inhuman strength Harley easily dragged the girl that isn't fully awake yet and still in her pajamas, to somewhere. Bethany can stop her if she wants but Harley looked bright so she decided to go along with her. 

However there was something Bethany still can't believe in her ears.

'Harley has a  disciples?'

No matter how you look at it Harley is someone who is  really high spirited and doesn't even think before taking action. After all in the first place that's the reason why she ended up in prison right? Bethany thought she's raising an orphans and forcing them to call her master or something. 

Unexpectedly the outside view was different.

After running through long dark hallways Bethany realized the house they're in is actually a mansion. Because her eyes weren't ready for the sudden brightness of the outside Bethany flinched and couldn't see the view at first. 

Then she saw a many men practicing outside. 

They had a every weapon that can used for fight such as sword, gun etc. It reminded her home so she put her guard up unconsciously, guarding Harley in the process as she stepped in front of her protectively. Seeing her serious behavior Harley was startled. Not because Harley was surprised or something but her usually fast reflex and eyes couldn't follow or predict Bethany's movements.

She gulped in fear before talking, forcing a smile on her face.

"Hey girl calm down! these guys are on our side" Harley tried to calm her by grabbing her shoulder softly. 

"They maybe on your side. But not on mine" 

"Umm, then why're you protecting me?" 

"....."

Only then Bethany has realized she's standing in front of the person she still can't trust fully. With a nod she simply moved away.

'She's nicer than I thought... I wonder why she's acting cold so suddenly?' Harley was deep in thought until someone shouted;

"Hey Harley Quinn!! Where did you kidnap this little girl from?"

It was one of the soldiers. He looked a bit old but was a very muscular. Due to training under the hot sun for many hours just like other soldiers he looked really dark and scary until he smiled, showing his pearly white teeth.

"W-what! I told you don't call me that ever again!! My name is Harley Valentine! not that crazy girl from the movie you watched. And I am really different" 

BAAM!!

With a one loud yell Harley attacked that person, probably trying to land a punch on him without thinking twice. She was fast but the elder guy easily dodged it. 

"So you're actually admitting that you kidnapped this little girl?"

"Of course I didn't! Do you think I can actually kidnap a girl like her"

"Oh so you became so weak after resting in prison for a few months? What a shame Harley Quinn"

"I told you don't call me that!...."

"Ahem.. May I go back to my room now?" Feeling awkward because of those two Bethany decided to go back. Therefore it was rude to go back silently so she noticed them beforehand. And again she regretted it.
