Ten

"Goodnight, kids." Sam's mom kissed them one by one. She stopped when she reached Sam. She stroked his head, "I hope you're doing okay sweetie after..." She paused. "No, no, it's okay mom. I'm fine now." Sam sat and kissed her mom. "Well, that's good to know." She hugged him.

"Goodnight, sweetie. Sweet dreams." "Goodnight mom."

Sam couldn't see a thing as he walked. Everything was covered in mist. He heard a faint call. "Sam? Sam!"

"Hello? Who's there?" Sam squinted his eyes. A boy is running towards him.

It's Toby.

"Toby? Toby!" Sam ran towards him. Toby kept running "Sam, Sam!" "Toby!" The two collided in an embrace with laughter and tears in their faces.

"I thought I'd never see you again!" Sam looked at Toby from head to toe.

"Me too! I can't believe it's you!" Toby hugged him tight.

"What happened? You never came back!"

"I know, I'm sorry about that." Toby scratched his head. "But after what happened, they were afraid I'd disrupt the fabric of time and space, and might change the future because of what I did. So they forbid me to come back. But she never said anything about traveling here." Sam chuckled.

"You're really a hard-headed kid, aren't you?"

"Hey, great minds think alike!" They both laughed hard.

"So, what's new with you, Toby?"

Toby placed his arm on Sam's shoulder as they walked on. "Believe me, pal, there's a lots of things we need to talk about..."
