I looked desperately in every direction, spinning in a circle, but there were men with weapons converging in on us. We were done for if I couldn't think of a way out. I backed up closer to my friends.

"Face towards them, backs together." I instructed. We wouldn't make it out of this without a fight and even then the odds weren't in our favour, I had a newbie and a techie in my side and I was feeling thoroughly hopeless. I counted at least five men. Usually that wouldn't frighten me so much, I may even be able to take them all on, but they were armed are that made the situation ten times more dangerous. One of the men, the thief, threw Bridget's bag into where we stood in the middle of their circle.

"Thanks for taking the bait girlie." he was a small guy and not very intimidating, if it wasn't for his gun I think I may have just punched him right away. Thankfully I didn't have to though. I saw her before he did, before any of them did. Next thing the imbecile knew he was passed out in the dirt after receiving a beautiful blow to the head by none other than ms. Hastings. I saw her smile slightly at her handiwork. One down four to go.

"Who's next boys?" she asked smugly. But before any of them could step forward another of our teachers struck a guy down from behind us. This time it was mr Stokes. I grinned, now the odds were even. I took no time joining the fright. The men had seemingly forgotten that they had the guns and were instead engaging us in hand to hand combat. It was weirdly easy to take the men out. I mean it took a few minutes sure but I had to do little more than knock them around and then go in for the kill. I wondered why that was. Usually I'd say I was just that good but not after the past week. It was weird, almost like they didn't want to hurt us or rather me. It seemed like I was the only one not having a problem, Hastings and Stokes' guys were putting up a real fight. Maybe I just got the easy one. Anyway I finished my guy with a roundhouse to the jaw and he fell to the ground out cold. A moment later miss Hastings threw her guy to the ground beside the one I'd just taken out. His nose was bleeding steadily and his arm was set at a weird angle. I stepped away from the two unconscious men just as mr stokes added his to the pile.

"C'mon kids lets go now!" mr stokes ordered as he led the way back the way we'd initially chased the man who'd stolen Bridget's backpack. In mere seconds we reached our headquarters transfer van and mr stokes was shoving the three of us into it. Then each of our teachers hopped in the front and we tore off. I vaguely noticed that we were on our way back to HQ. but I had other things on my mind.

"How did you find us?" I blurted. Miss Hastings chuckled at my question.

"You think we don't know that you two go see Spencer practically every free day? Please Fawkes give us a little credit." she smiled at me over her shoulder but I couldn't quite manage a smile back. I had to remember to tell Ziggy, the first chance I got, to leave his current hideout and set up extra precautionary measures. He valued his privacy and I hated to think that I was jeopardizing it.

"Who were those guys back there? And what did they want?" the questions kept flowing from my mouth before I could stop them. However it was probably a good idea to see exactly what they knew, so I could compare information.

"We don't know who they are, although we are fairly sure they work for the same people that attacked you and Rick earlier this week." she paused, and I knew she was thinking about whether or not to tell us the next part of their theory. It seemed that her secrecy lost because she continued, "As for what they want, the answer is simple. They want you."
