spent with you~

I couldn't explain how embarrassed I felt after what happened earlier today. I felt the flush on my cheeks as I looked at the mirror and toweled my face dry. All I needed was a warm nice bath and even though that had to happen in my old looking bathroom that somehow still had that smell of fresh paint, everything felt nice and good.

Well, that was what I told myself.

Gerald from the witcher? , what the hell was I thinking?

I wanted to call Eva so badly, to tell how about everything that happened; she would know what to do in situations like this. Images of his long dark hair played in my head. I would admit, he was quite handsome and this was coming from the girl that saw thousands of guys that that looked nothing like Gerald.

With nothing but only thoughts of the handsome stranger that I met last night, I slowly drifted to sleep.

'You know that things would have been so much better if you hadn't decided to cheat on Dad!'

I yelled at the top of my voice and ran out through the back door.
Just at the age of eighteen I had witnessed all the fights and quarrels between my parents and as shocking as this must sound, it didn't matter.

I knew it was going to happen anyway.
Images of Dad hitting Mum with the broken beer bottle replayed in my dream. He was drunk, there's no way he would do that intentionally. Right ?

My head was boiling, everything moved fast paced, then stopped. Fast forward to seven years later.

Broken. Emotionally damaged. Call it whatever you want but I wasn't alright and that was....fine. I guess.

What eighteen year old me didn't know was that sh*t happens and when it comes to relationships, things like this were bound to happen.♡

I quickly got out of bed at the sound of my alarm; I was used to this now, getting up at the first ring. With a loud yawn and very long stretch, I set out for my regular morning routine and that did not involve the face mask and the glorious smelling bath bombs and essential oils. I just washed my face and brushed my teeth.

I would admit, I was the definition of boring.
Just one glance at my phone, I had noticed a text message notification from Eva.

Did you get LAID? --- E

Better tell me that you did --- E

With that weird smile that I had on my face anytime someone brought up my sexual life, I quickly sent a reply;
I hope that you are fully aware that I went to a wedding and not a strip club --- K

I knew that it would take more than that to convince Eva, but I clearly had other things to do. Even though I had taken permission from my boss to leave work for a couple of days, I still brought my work with me.

Well, because I was a workaholic [I work to get distracted from reality] and I was hoping for a promotion next year or maybe changing my place of work.

I was so immersed in what I was doing and texting Eva that I had not even noticed when my Mum had stepped into the room.
'I see that someone has made a new friend so quickly 'she said and I almost jumped out of the bed as I realized how close she was to me right now.
