Hi guyssss. I've updated this book again.  Is this frequent enough? Haha.

Anyway, presenting to you guys Chapter Four! Again, this chapter isn't edited yet. Kindly point out any errors if you happen to spot one? Maybe I'll edit when I finish the book. Or I'll take forever to upload a chapter. Heh.

Ps: I'm really bad at writing author's note. Pffffft.

Chapter Four

'Where have you been sir?'  The voice on the other line demanded.

Jayden racked his brain for an excuse. It obviously failed as there were silence. All he could think of was how good Pearlyn made him feel just a few hours ago. But for Pete ' s sake, this is his legitimate wife, Viviania! He should feel sorry, but he wasn't really feeling it. He began to wonder about his feelings for Viviania.

Could a one night stand with Pearlyn develop into something much more? Are Viviania and I made for each other? What if... Pearlyn should be my soul mate instead?

So many questions float through his phone before he realised he was still on the phone with Viviania.

'Hmm, Jay?' Viviania presses on.

Oh shot. Gotta think of something fast.

'Oh uh, morning honey. Had your breakfast?' Jayden was trying to drag time.

Viviania wasn't buying it. 'That doesn't matter.  I want to know where have you been all night.'

'I... fainted in the office.' Jayden answered.  He quickly shot a prayer upwards that Viviania would believe him. It was such a horrid, absurd lie, he was hundred and one percent it would backfire.

Why am I so stupid? Jayden thought. God, help me through it. 

'Oh dear, Jay are you alright?!' Came Viviania's worried reply which surprised Jayden. 

So God did answer my prayer... wonderful. Viviania brought it. One less problem for him. He imagined doing a mini victory dance.

'Yes I'm alright. Must be the workload. You know how tiresome it can get. I'm about to go home now. See you in a bit, darling.' He said.

Jayden was about to hang up when Viviania yelled, 'Wait, stop! Hang on Jay.'

'Anything else?'

'Err.. so, did you know what was the date yesterday?' Her voice sounded hopeful.

Jayden was confused. What was the date? Seriously? Viviania called just to ask that? He wanted to laugh at her. Was she mentally retarded now? The date? She wanted to know the freaking date! But Jayden, being the Oh - so - lovely husband will grant her her wish.

'Why, honey, it was the 20 November 1999.'

He heard Viviania breathe loudly. That could only meant that she was angry.  When Viviania gets angry, she would inhale loudly through her nostrils then exhale a gush of air out of her system. But man, Jayden didn't know why she was so mad! Isn't it the date she wanted? He gave it to her already! Jayden wonders if Viviania is on her period. Women always get moody around that time of the month. Thank God he's born a man with no blood flowing out from his private area.

'Honey?' Jayden asked. 

'You forgot, didn't you?' Her voice was soft and weak. Jayden was really perplexed. What date could it be? To be honest, he only remembers the one night stand with Pearlyn.  He couldn't recall anything.
