Chapter 1:
'Hey bud! I hear the new bar; The Sexy Secrets is finally established and open for business! Shall we head down there after work?' Stance Thomas Gale asked his boss, which happens to be his best friend. They were in his office, having noon lunches together and discussing about making improvements in Dedicated Delicacies, a chain of famous, international and mouth watering restaurants, ran by Jayden Reyes. Stance was Jayden's personal assistant.
Jayden Reyes looked up from the papers he was assessing through thoroughly, an eyebrow perked up at the sudden intrusion of the topic. They were supposed to be discussing making new improvements to boost up Dedicated Delicacies’ business to a further extent. Jayden scooped up a fork of pasta, made by one of Dedicated Delicacies’ chefs, and brought them to his mouth. The flavor exploded on his taste buds, making his teeth chew appreciatively on the slimy softie noodles.
Swallowing the lump of pasta, he frowned a bit and replied, 'Stance, you know I'm busy.'
'That's the entire point!' Stance shot his index finger in Jayden's direction. 'You have to stop working for once, and learn to enjoy life, dude! You only live once.' Stance retreated his finger back, but kept his index finger in place to empathize on the word, 'once'.
Jayden rubbed his forehead and thought about it. He did not know whether to go or not. He would be ending work today at 7 o' clock, since it was a Saturday and he usually returns home for dinner with his family on weekends, though he admits to himself that it bores him. But he does it to not make his wife and daughter feel incomplete without a husband and father. He did not return home on weekdays for dinner as he always works overtime until at least midnight. Weekends were the only time he spent with his wife of eight years and six year old daughter. He knew he would feel guilty of making his wife upset if he did not go home for dinner. His wife would and probably will always be. He had decided what to do; he shall not break the routine for the sake of playing ‘happy family’.
'Stance, you know I usually go home for dinner on weekends.' Jayden finally said. However, he had this naggyfeeling at the back of his mind, as if he was forgetting something today, as if he missed out on something, but he just couldn’t remember what was it.
Stance rolled his eyes. 'It’s only once man. Come on, bud. It's not every time you go to a bar. And, you need to loosen up. This is the perfect opportunity for you!' He convinced Jayden.
Jayden reconsidered. Actually, Stance was right. Jayden was very stress about his chain of restaurants, for he was the boss and it was really difficult to manage 25 restaurants, which 12 are in different states of the US, and the other 13 globally. He had a lot to take care of and was very busy. He hardly had time to slacken a little or relax. This was once in a blue moon for him to remove his suit, loosen his tie, dishevel his hair and dance his night away.
'Alright man, just this once. And remember, just this once!' Jayden warned.
Stance's lips curled up to reveal a smug smile of victory. He tucked into his own container of half eaten pasta, slurping the noodles up to his lips. Jayden did the same too.
After lunch, they carried on with the discussion to expand one of the local restaurants.

Viviania Reyes stopped her long, bony fingers from knitting any further. She glances up at the clock. It was half an hour before seven o' clock. Jayden was coming home in probably another 30 minutes. She put her knitting away and went off to the kitchen to prepare the table for dinner. Today, she had made something special. There was steak and red wine, instead of the usual spaghetti and water or juice. It was their eighth wedding anniversary.
