Don't You Remember?

Ebony..

She was here, in the Capitol, as an Avox. Avox are servants in the Capitol, who wear uniforms, and their tongues are cut off for whatever reason I didn't know. I knew that these Avox were like their prisoners, but Ebony?

She did nothing wrong, as a matter of fact.

All we did was go through the woods because there was a loose barbed wire near our district. It wasn't fair that she was the only one who got caught. Maybe I should be there too..

I wouldn't be the guy I am now if the Peacekeepers took me with them.

But back to Ebony, I could just never get her face out of my mind.

The way her wavy brown hair fell down to her shoulders, the way that her brown eyes sparkled even under the moonlight, the way she stood with complete poise and grace even if she was in a school uniform.. It was all so breathtaking and perfect. She could have passed as a goddess.

Seeing her again sparked up my feelings for her.. Not that it ever left, but it just refreshed my memory of how lovely she

was in her suede dresses and Oxfords..

How petite looking she was compared to me. How she never wanted her hair down, she wanted it in a single fishtail braid made by her mum. How she didn't want to go to that party where the mayor invited both of us for saving their daughter. Those simple things about her just stood out the most.

"What are you still doing here?"

A chilly voice snapped my out of my thoughts. I turned around and saw Chastity looking at me as she leaned against a metal wall.

"Can't sleep?" she smirked, slowly walking towards me.

I simply shrugged, letting my shoulders slump. "A lot of things in my mind, I guess."

"Like..?" She urged.

"The Games.. How it's all going to start, how it's going to end.." I licked my lips. "I just can't bear to lose, you know?"

"You're not." She sighed. "Harry, you have the blood of a champion, and whether you like it or not, you're going to bloody win this game. Besides, this is just a show. Give them what they want! The more viewers they get, the faster it all ends, that's how dirty the Capitol gets."

"But I'm not like him, Chastity.." My voice faltered as I thought about my father. "I'm a nobody."

Was I important to him? Did I even make him proud that I volunteered? Was this all worth it, or I just risked my life for some heartless person?

"I'm nothing compared to the others." I mumbled. "Have you seen that guy from District 12? Buff and big, I wouldn't be surprised if I died after having him sit on me."

"Harry-"

"My dad is never going to be proud of me. He's never been. If he was, he'd be home by now, comforting mum, Gem, and me, telling us that he'd never leave again. We'd be hunting and eating together, watching a few old programs from our television. But no, he never came back."

"Haz.."

"He never loved us, Chastity. He left for no reason, he made us hurt, he made us look for a substitute for him, but guess what, no matter how mad we are at him, he's still my dad, and I love him.."

Tears stung my eyes as my vision blurred. I used te back of my hand to wipe my eyes, then bringing it back to my side again.

"I'm no one, Chastity."

Chastity chuckled. "You're not a nobody." She said, her voice filled with understanding and compassion. She slowly made her way to me, laying her hand on my shoulder.

"Then what am I..?"

"You're Harry Styles, son of Robin Styles. Champion and soon to be victor."

It was damn well the best answer he's heard.

I'm very sorry for not updating in like a thousand years or like a bajillion eras.

My grades are going DOWN and I need to put them up so I really can't update always.

I know this doesn't make up for the time, and I really am sorry for that :(
