-Liam-

The door slammed behind me after I was pushed into a velvet-walled room. It was the waiting room. It was where you get to say you last words to your loved ones before you leave for the Capitol.

Once I was locked in, I immediately broke down into tears, letting everything run through my mind.

I was in trouble.

I had no chances in survivins this Game. I was too weak. I don't have useful skills.

I sat down on the leather couch while I ran my fingers through my set hair. It was only a matter of time before someone barges into the room and cries me a river ( ;) ).

For that duration, I thought deeply.

It was rigged? How the heck could it be rigged?

Suddenly, the door opened and there stood Danielle, looking horrible, but at the same time, beautiful.

She had tear stains on her cheeks, and her hair was a complete mess. Her eyes were bloodshot from all the crying that she did.

As soon as she saw me, she ran to me and hugged me, and I hugged back.

"Liam, i'm so sorry." she sobbed onto my shoulder, hugging me tightly.

"Shh. You have nothing to apologize for, love." I whispered into her ear as she continued to sob.

"You don't get it, Liam!" she shouted as she pulled away. "My parents hate you, they want you away from me. They threw away all the names in the glass ball and replace it with papers that were filled with your name! Florence Bliss doesn't know about this though, just my parents.."

I stared at her in disbelief. I didn't hate her, I couldn't bring myself to do that. I loved her to death, and I would do anything to be with her. But the fact that her parents would stoop so low just to get me away from her, that's just wrong. They could just ask me to leave her alone.. But then again, I'm not someone who gives up that easily.

"Dani.." I whispered as I put my finger under her chin and lifted it up. "I'll fight for you, okay? I'll bloody fight for you, for me, for us, for my family. Right now, I want you to be strong, alright? Do it for me, please?" I pleaded of her.

She sniffled and nodded at me, hugging me one last time before the Peacekeepers barged into the room to get her.

"I love you, Li-" her voice was cut off by the door slamming.

I collapse to the floor, crying my eyes out.

"I love you too, Danielle.."

-Niall-

After the Panem anthem had ended, me and Eta shook hands, and that's when I saw her features well.

She had long brown hair, and it was wavy, too. She had stunning electric green that were very hypnotizing, and it seemed to change color too. Her eyes were also a little chinky, like the people who lived in China. She also had snow white skin that made her look like she was glowing. Her hand was a little rough from all the harvesying she's done. I would know, because we work in the same field, it's just that I haven't gotten the chance to look at er from a nearer distance.

We pulled pur hands away, and Sheena literally pulled us into the Justice Building.

It was grand and bug, chandeliers hung on the high painted ceilings. There were portaits hung everywhere on the wall. The place was like a Victorian themed, I suppose.

The Peacekeepers then took us up a lift, and pushed us into separate rooms.

Now, I was alone... And scared.
