Chapter 3

Aliyah's POV

So I know that I said Jazz isn't a friend but yet I still bought food for her even though she insisted not to , what is wrong with me I'm becoming friendly already. "How do you like this school so far" Sasha asked Jazz " Ummm it's cool not to much drama I like that" replied Jazz " Anyone caught your eye yet?" I asked I cringed at the thought of her liking girls yuck 🤢 but yet I still asked. 

"No not yet I guess right now idk how I'm feeling bout shawty"she responded. "Ouuuu who's this shawty you speak of" Sasha asked. "Don't worry bout it sweetheart don't worry bout it " she said as she giggled. I noticed ever since I asked that question she avoided eye contact with me couldn't mean anything so I just let it go.  We all gobbled up our food and was cleaning up.

Jazz's POV 

Aliyah really did the most and ordered me food when I told her not to but I'm grateful anyway.When Aliyah asked me if I had my eyes on someone I didn't want her to know that I had my eyes on her  but instead I did the exact opposite I avoided all eye contact even though I knew she liked that shit.Damn please don't catch on please don't catch I repeated in my head. She stared at me for a hot minute but than shrugged yes she didn't catch on.

 The bell rung and we all were on our way to AP Physics.

 Sasha sat next to some boy and Aliyah sat next to one of her other friends i guess  and i just sat down in any ole seat. This girl came and sat next to me she was fine but she wasn't Aliyah. I caught her staring at me and i chuckled and paid attention to what the teacher was saying. " So class i will be assigning you guys a project and a partner"the teacher started saying people names and stuff so i just waited. " Sasha with Bryce" and "Jazmene with Aliyah" said the teacher.

 I was actually happy i looked over at Sasha and she gave me a fake smile. I knew it was fake because her eyes just stayed in the same place. The girl next to me was fazed by it she gave Aliyah a nasty side eye. I packed up my stuff so i can leave. As i was walking out the girl who sat next to me stopped me and said " Hey i'm Mariah" she stuck out her hand for me to shake. She a brownskin, shes short, and shes pretty(Mariah in the media). 

I shook her hand " you new here" she asked.

 I mean duhh bitch if i wasn't than you would've known me already i said in my head. " Yea how'd you figure" i said sarcastically she giggled and said " i just know maybe we can hangout sometime can i get your number" she asked. She handed me her phone and i put my number in. "Catch ya later ma " i said and walked away.

Aliyah's Pov

Omggg i have to see Jazz more than i need to this is not gonna go good. I have to find her so we discuss this project thing i really can do it by myself i have no problem. I usually partner up with one of my other friends but my teacher thought today was a great day to switch shit up. I started looking for her when i found her i saw her talking to this girl which i think her name Mya?? some shit like that lmaoo. I didn't really care cause she not my boo and nv will be. Mya was probbably who she was talking bout at lunch today imma ask her even though i really dont care. Jazz walked the other way i guess she ain't see me.

 Mya was walking in my direction she wasn't walking towards me but she was gonna pass me the whole time she gave me a sinister look

. I just rolled my eyes and started catching up to Jazz. " Hey " i said " wassup ma" " wassup with you and Mya" i asked " who?" she asked looking confused. " The girl you was just talking to isn't her name Mya?" i asked cause now i was confused. " No her name Mariah and nun much we just talked" she said while laughing. "Ohhhh that's her name oops" i replied while laughing. " Mya though where you get that from" Jazz said while laughing." Shut up" i said while i giggled. 

"About that project how you wanna do it and what do i need to get" asked Jazz " i was just bout to ask you that ummm i can do it by myself i really don't mind" " but i wont let you so no we got partners for a reason". " Ok fine i already put in an order for the wood at home depot and i'm gonna go pick it up after  a nail appointment so you can come with and you can just buy the screws and poster board" i suggested. I cant believe i asked her to come somewhere with me that's more time together ughhh i'm not good at this stuff i have to speak to Sasha.

 "Sounds like a plan" Jazz replied she took out her phone and handed it to me i look at her confused than she said " put your number in so we can contact each other duhh".

 " Dont be duhhing me" i snatched the phone out her hand and put my number in. "There happy" i said "Yes very" she said while cheesing like a lil kid. " Alright see ya later" i remarked "Aight bye ma".
