Chapter 12

Jazz's POV

We have been working on this project for like forever i'm surprised Aliyah isn't tired yet.I sat down on the floor "Liyah i'm tired" "hi tired i'm Aliyah". "Hahaha" i replied sarcastically "i'm serious didn't you say after were done we can go out"she sighed and said "ok your right where you wanna go?"she asked "Surprise me " " if you say so".

I'm excited i love surprises which is why i asked her to surprise me there's not a place on earth i haven't been so i really wanna know where we're going. We changed our clothes and walked out to her car."So where are we going?".

"It's a surprise Jazmene" she said with a bit of annoyance in her voice.

"You ain't had to use my government but ok"she giggled a bit. The rest of the car ride was us telling each other corny jokes and fighting over what music to put on. She's literally obsessed with A Boogie and when she isn't listening to him she's listening to R&B throwbacks which i have no problem with it's just she wouldn't let me pick something.

"Aliyah lemme pick one song i swear you'll like it" i pleaded "ok but if i don't like it you're banned from playing music in my car or house got it?"

"Yes ma'am" she gave me a death glare that was pretty intimidating.I took her phone and put on Every Kind of Way by H.E.R (song in media).It started playing and she said "oouuu this my shit turn it up" i reached towards the radio and turned it up.

"I wanna love you in every kind of way, i wanna please you no matter how long it takes if the world should end tomorrow and we only have today,i'm gonna love you in every kind of way" i was astonished by her voice it was one of her many abilities.

She is so talented and beautiful i can't wait till i have her to myself.I couldn't help but cry it was a reflex i always cried when i heard a beautiful voice my mom used to sing to me as a baby and i would cry. Aliyah pulled over when she noticed i was crying.

" Oh my god Jazz what's wrong" she looked at me with sympathy and confusion. She embraced me tightly and rubbed my back i enjoyed being embraced in her  warmth and her smelling her sweet aroma, we sat there in silence while i sniffled a bit.

I pulled away and smiled at her "your voice is beautiful Aliyah"

"Awww thank you love i'm glad you think so but next time please don't scare me like that i thought something was wrong" "i'm sorry babygirl but you could go somewhere with that voice". Aliyah started the car and replied with a sarcastic "yea right my voice is okay" "someone doesn't know what real talent is then".

"Yes i do i just don't think my voice is that good anyways i need you to close your eyes". I covered my eyes with no hesitation i feel like a kid in a candy store super excited.

"Calm down Olaf" i felt the car stop and Aliyah touched the gear shift putting the car in park.I'm guessing she got out because i heard her door close. The door on my side opened  and i felt a hand grab mine. "Gimme your hand and step out carefully " Aliyah instructed i did as told and carefully got out the car."Ok open your eyes" when i opened my eyes i was extremely happy she brought me to my favorite ice cream shop.

I went here all the time with my father before he died we went here every friday after school I never told anyone how he died i'd get emotional talking about it.

"Aliyahhhh you remembered" i yelled in excitement.

"Of course love" i cupped her face and kissed her all over she was a giggling mess."Stopp"she demanded."One last one" i licked her cheek "ewww asquerosa (nasty)". I ran into the Ice cream shop it looked the same colorful,big,and cheery. Aliyah and I walked to the cash register only to find out that the cashier was Mariah."Welcome to Color Pop how may i ohh" Mariah looked up and stopped talking when she saw us. "Why the fuck are you so close to my girlfriend?" asked  Mariah "she's your girlfriend?" Aliyah asked while pointing to me she had disgust written all over her face i didn't want her think i was with Mariah so i spoke up.

"Um i'm actually not your girlfriend so you needa chill with all that title shit" Mariah looked at me like i had two heads and she gave Aliyah a sinister glare."So this bitch got you changing your mind she ain't got nothing i got".

"She's" i started speaking but than Aliyah interrupted "nah she right i don't got nothing she got i got more than she'll ever have and you" she pointed to me "you better control ya hoe before i do thank you" she gave me a fake smile and walked out.

I sucked my teeth and ran out behind her i was just trying to enjoy some Ice Cream, this place always brought happiness and joy to me it never dimmed my mood but today it did just because of Mariah's dumb ass.

We hopped in and she said "you could date her if you want just make sure she's respectful" she gave me a fake smile before turning away i could tell she was trying to hide the hurt she felt.

Aliyah's POV

I can't believe she still talks to her i mean i know we aren't together but i thought she said she'll wait until i'm ready.Jazz turns my head "c'mon babygirl don't worry bout her, me and her were never a thing and never will be" she then again gave me one of her infamous pecks. I know she was telling the truth but Mariah is getting a little out of control.

"I'm hungry and i don't feel like driving" "ok i'll drive then big baby" suggested Jazz. We swapped spots so that i was in the passengers seat and she was in the drivers seat.We decided to eat Chipotle and drive back to her house.
