Family ties

Once I transformed into a wolf everything was heighten; the smell of the forest, the rocks under my paws and of course my vision. I can see bugs from miles away. I did exactly what dad told me, I run wild and free and it felt so good. Until everything just stopped and I was laying on the grass naked.
I hear footsteps come up to me and I try to cover myself as best as I can.
"Here you go," dad says handing me clothes.
"Thanks. Umm...can you turn around and just put the clothes on the floor next to me," I say still covering myself.
"You know I'm your dad right. I changed your diapers when you were little and gave you a bath."
"Dad!"
"Fine fine," he says chucking and turning around.
I quickly put on the clothes dad gave me;  my grey sweatpants and white tank top.
"You can turn around now."
We start to head back to school side by side. Looks like I run quite far since I can't even see the Salvatore boarding school.
"So how did it feel?" dad asks.
"I loved it! I felt so free," I say as a smile forms on my face.
"That's my girl," dad says giving me a kiss on top of my forehead.

"Found her," I hear Noah say.
I turn around to see Noah and Stefanie walking up to where I'm sitting in the library surrounded by books.
"I never would have thought Luna Mikaelson a book worm," Stefanie chuckles as she takes a sit in front of me.
"She's not. Plus it's only the second week of school there is not much homework," Noah says giving me kiss as he sits down next to me.
Noah and I have been dating since last April, but we've been friends since he started at the Salvatore boarding school 3 years ago. Noah can be a bit arrogant and devilish. Noah looks for trouble while trouble follows me everywhere that's how we became friends. He took something from the library and it dropped right at my feet when professor Alaric started to question him. The two of us got in trouble and I had no clue what magical object it was, but nobody liked a snitch so I didn't say anything. We both got detention for a week. We became friends in detention and have been friends and each other's partner crime ever since.
"You guys are the cutest couple ever. I still can't believe how you guys ended up together it's so weird and twisted," Stefanie says.
Last year after the holidays there was this new vampire recruiter. It's not a secrete that vampires and werewolves don't get along. The recruiter was not really following rules so Noah and some friends decided they should get involved. The recruiter got defensive and here I was walking from a magic class with some of my friends.  The recruiter vampire grabbed me and was about to bit me. Noah used his werewolf strength to push him away from him. As he did that the vampire bit him. Vampire bites are poisonous to werewolves just like werewolf bites are poisonous to vampires. Unfortunately, the school ran out of dad's blood and Hope's blood ie the cure and Noah was going to die in 24 hours. I quickly called Hope because by the time dad would finish asking me a million questions Noah would be dead. Of course my sister and Landon had to be overseas monster hunting. I had to watch Noah through all of his hallucinations. I never left him alone and near the end Noah told me he loved me and that I should know that, if he didn't make it. I knew in that moment I had feelings for him too. We kissed which was then broken up by Hope who walked in and saved his life.
"I still can't believe my arrogance put you in danger. I'm never letting that happen again," Noah says.
"Well my dad put my moms life in danger multiple times yet somehow they are still together," I say laughing.
"Why haven't I meet your family yet? We have been friends for years now and I have been your boyfriend  for 6 months," Noah says flipping through one of my books.
"You meet Hope and her fiancée Landon last year. And two years ago you meet Lizzie and her fiancée Rafael. And your first year here Josie was our substitute English teacher for a week."
"I meant your parents and the rest of the Forbes and Mikaelson family," Noah says landing on a picture of dad under it written original hybrid.
"Well there are no Forbes members left other than my mom and my two sisters. And trust me you don't want to meet the Mikaelsons."
"Why not? Landon got to meet them."
"Yeah because Landon may be a Phoenix who can never die, but he's my family's puppet. He does everything they say and dad likes it that way. You on the other hand are the complete opposite. If dad would ever find out you put me in danger with your arrogance he would have your heart in his hand while uncle Elijah hands him a hand chief to wipe your blood off. Or dad can get uncle Kol to go all psycho on you and drain your blood. Or aunt Freya and Davina can ripe your heart out by magic. Or aunt Rebecca can ripe out your heart before you can beat an eye. Oh wait..I forgot my adoptive brother Marcel can also ripe out your heart while making out with my aunt Rebecca. So Mr. Trouble that's why I have not made you meet daddy and the rest of the Mikaelsons. It doesn't even matter I'm not a real Mikaelsons anyway. I'm adopted," I say looking back down at my book on werewolf packs.
"Wait what? You look like your mom and Lizzie," Noah says.
"Well someone doesn't listen in class. Even I know vampires can't procreate and I'm new here," Stefanie says.
"Lizzie and Josie are professor Alaric's and this Gemini witches kids that mom gave birth to and raised. Dad is a hybrid so as a werewolf he can procreate and Hope's mom the woman my middle name comes from was a werewolf. That's why I have books all around me so I can find out who my real parents are. After I became a hybrid two days ago i became curious to find out why  I am one," I say lifting up my book.
"I think that's a great idea my little were-witch. I think knowing which pack you come from or which coven will be interesting. For a wolf their pack is everything. I'm so sorry I wasn't with you last night,"Noah says.
"It's okay my dad wanted to be there for my first transformation. He did that for Hope so he wanted to do that for me too."
"I think you shouldn't go looking for a family who abandoned you at birth. Look what you just said; your dad wanted to be there for your first transformation just like he was there for his biological daughter because he cares about you just as much. And the Mikaelsons would kill for you just like they would kill for Hope. My mom is adopted and her adopted parents Miranda and Grayson where 100 times better than her biological parents because they loved and cared for her just like they did for my uncle Jeremy. You have a family who loves and cares for you don't go looking for a family who doesn't," Stefanie says.
The three of us remain quiet. I stare down at my dad's picture not knowing what I should do.
"We should probably get going we have history with professor Alaric in 5 minutes. We don't want to be late for that," Noah says looking down at his watch.
The three of us get up and they help me put away the books. As we walk out of the library I come face to face with;
"Aunt Freya," I say.
